Now over 200 hits per day. I did make "Abide with me" public on friday, and that has produced a spike, but nontheless, the trend is still upwards.

Gosh it goes on and on.
Now over 300 hits/day for the last 2 weeks!
Popularity ratings (weighted for population) have reverted to a more familiar pattern now, after the far eastern tour.
1. United States 2. United Kingdon 3. Germany 4. New Zealand 5. Taiwan
The most popular videos have changed a bit though. Looking a lot more christmassy
1. Sleigh Ride 2. O Holy Night 3. Ave Maria 4. Love Came Down at Christmas 5. Rule Brittannia

Just out of curiosity, do the number of views for any video mean how many views total, or just how many individual people have viewed it? Like if someone watches 1 video 5 times, do all 5 times count for that person, or do they just count that person's views only once, if it's coming from the same computer? Does that make any sense?

Yes, it does Libby.
As I understand it total views is the number of times the videos have been viewed, so if one person watches the same vid 5 times, that counts as 5 views.
Of course some people download videos from YouTube and watch them privately. I suspect in that case it would count as only one view however many times it was watched.

Does that make any sense? i have a suspicion it depends on whether your connection reloads the video; when you play a video, the computer keeps a copy of it in its cache... if it plays the cached copy then youtube would have no further record of it being played beyond the once it was downloaded

Okay... I'm confused now. It's not that important, though, I was just wondering.

It just gets better and better!
Stats for the last fortnight show my YouTube channel is now getting 463 hits/day! But it might be Christmas that is doing it, four of the top five are Christmas songs
1. Sleigh Ride 2. O Holy Night 3. Love came down at Christmas 4. Ave Maria 5. Peace Shall Come
As for populatirty in countries
1. USA 2. New Zealand 3. UK 4. Germany 5. Singapore

As for populatirty in countries 1. USA That fact still baffles me, since very few people know about her here. And the few that do still associate her with Celtic Woman. Perhaps she's far more popular online than otherwise in the US.

Well, the last big thing she's done in the U.S. was the tour with Celtic Woman, and lots of her fans here discovered her because of that, so it's not really any wonder. She needs a new, very successful album with beautiful music on it, and maybe that will help! And I think something like that is coming soon.

On the hwi YT channel, it's 1 New Zealand 2 United States 3 United Kingdom 4 Taiwan 5 Netherlands 6 Australia 7 Canada 8 Singapore 9 Germany 10 Hong Kong So similar. I think it's the UK that is currently lower than you would expect given Hayley's profile there. Perhaps explained by her fans being older in the UK (especially compared with NZ and Taiwan but also compared with the US too) and they don't use Youtube as much as younger people. Perhaps. Dave

Well, in a super-saturated market like the US, 99% of the battle is getting the masses to notice your existance. And it goes for any artist, not just Hayley. I believe if Bandana or Universal can get people here to notice Hayley, even her existing Albums will do wonders. With that being said, a new Album will present another good opportunity for Hayley to finally gain a foothold on the US market.

I think this speaks for itself. The graphical record of the hits on my YouTube channel over the last year. The peak near the end is the day of Hayley's appearance on BBC Breakfast. After that hits have steadily risen. The horizontal line represents 375 hits/day. So you can see the progreess she is making and the effect of her recent publicity. The earlier peak corresponds to my uploading of a number of new videos after the Kings Lynn concert, which always distorts things. Interestingly, looking at the last two weeks, the Ave Maria video is by far the most popular worldwide, but in the UK I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misaerables (and Kings Lynn) is the most popular video. The last few days look like Martin D

OK update time. Things go from strength to strength.
Average hits/day over the last 2 weeks is 529/day - a new record.
As last time, Ave Maria is still most popular worldwide, and I Dreamed a Dream is most popular in the UK.
Top countries are:
1. UK 2. New Zealand 3. Japan 4. USA 5 Taiwan
To see the way the hits/day have gone around the time of the release of Paradiso here are my hits/day (over the previous 2 weeks) for the last few weeks. I think You'll agree that that change is spectacular, but I did add some new videos from the Kings Lynn concert in July too, which will have had an effect
26 July: 115 Hits/day 2 August: 279 Hits/day 9th August: 342 Hits/day 16th August: 330 Hits/day 23rd August: 362 Hits/day 30th August: 375 Hits/day 6th September: 417 Hits/day 13 September: 474 Hits/day 20th September: 529 Hits/day
This is great news, and just like every other indicator we have shows that Hayley is attracting more and more interest. Long may it continue.
