...and finally from me, a set of three with Hayley and Caitlin deep in conversation, Hayley was keen to know how Caitlin was getting on working in a school, and after Caitlin had given Hayley her contact details Hayley was on her way.Steve H

Oh my gosh that photo in the middle...what a funny face! At least I can laugh about it? But don't ask me to duplicate it because I won't be able to. Thanks for the photos though. <3 Caitlin

Hi All, There are some really fantastic photographs of Hayley in this thread courtesy of Steve, Stuart & Dave... Hayley looks great! I really love Hayley's red nail polish too. What a lovely accent this makes Hayley- your nails look perfect and are colour co-ordinated with your red dress (and the little cherry motiffs- or are they tulips? on your black dress with the polka dots and flowers! ) Did anyone else notice those? If you look really closely folks, you'll see one of these close to Hayley's left shouder in the second picture down... Great style Hayley! I like it! Andrew

( Wish my vocab was better able to express those thanks more adequately too) Graeme, I don't think the vocabulary exists to express how we feel about Hayley; her effect on us and her wonderful performances. Hayley seems to be able to express her feelings with 'a look', a gift that I feel is lacking in me, however hard I try, but knowing Hayley, I'm sure she understands. Best wishes Grant

Hello everyone, This may already have been mentioned in this thread but if it has, I think it's worth repeating from time to time and I quote from Wikipedia:
I mentioned to a few fellow forumers at the recording that I'd been listening to this show from time to time for as long as I can remember - and that means I first heard it some time in the 1950s... a listener for, probably, half a Century! For me, attending one of the live or prerecorded "live" shows has been one of those things that you have to do in your lifetime - but I'd started to think that I never would. But now, I have! So many thanks, especially to Stephany for bringing it to our attention in good time to get tickets, to Steve H for sending me a spare ticket - and of course, to Hayley for once again being part of this wonderful record-breaking show, thus making it all possible anyway. I am sure Hayley feels honoured to be asked periodically to appear on such an historic show! I've now modified the thread title to match the usual format for TV and radio shows and hey, that's one more ambition box ticked in my lifetime i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Cheers, Dave PS In case anyone is wondering why I didn't get my own ticket in the first place, I stupidly assumed that it would be a live show on the Friday itself - a day that I couldn't have gone. When I found out the truth, Steve rescued me... thanks again!

Thanks to Steph and a special thank you to Martin for letting me have his spare ticket. Caite asked me during the interval if I was enjoying myself, and I really was. It's nothing that I ever expected to do - going to something like this - but I had an amazing time, and I would love the opportunity to do so again sometime ~Chris

~Chris Hi Chris, It was not you, it was me, unfortunately the small camera I use inside is not the best one for outside flash work, for that I would prefer the DSLR but with the comments on the ticket about 'no cameras' and 'searches' made me decide to go for the small one in my pocket instead. I promise I will get a good photo of you soon! Steve H

Hi all, after a short journey I just managed to catch up the whole thread with all of its wonderful posts. Many thanks to all photographers for your efforts and beating the camera police - especially to Stuart and Steve for your magnificent photos. Needless to say that Grant's report was as great as always. All the best, Karsten

I deliberately left everyone else with more interesting information and pictures to contribute to this thread, but I may as well add my comments now at risk of echoing everything that other people have already said!
Stephany - thanks for letting everyone know about the event, even though you were unable to be there in person. Hope you enjoy listening to it tomorrow evening (I'll also have one eye on the rugby and cheering on the Irish I'm afraid...but I won't go further off topic!)
Steve H - thank you for your spare ticket.
Steve/Stuart/Dave - great pictures as ever.
Chris - pleasure meeting you and talking to you for much of the evening.
Everyone else - nice to meet you again and I'm sure we'll see each other again at another concert soon.
Finally, most of all:
Thanks to Hayley herself for another great performance. This is the 3rd time I've seen her in the last month, and the 3rd different type of show after a "classical" type performance with the Royal Philharmonic at Hurtwood Park Polo Club, a more "pop" show at Shepherd's Bush and then a "stage/musical" show at the Mermaid. What an amazingly versatile talent she is and a lovely person with it - she was again delightful after the show (despite being in a relative hurry) as Steve's pictures show.
I must admit, I would not usually listen to Bernstein's music but I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, particularly the second half, and without putting anyone else down - the star of the show was quite clearly Hayley (and I'm not just saying that because I'm biased!) I also think Paul Gambaccini's professionalism, the fact he sat in the audience during the show and the fact that he didn't fluff any of his lines also merits a mention.
James
