Thanks Martin This does look like an interesting event and I would very much like to attend a concert at the Harmonic Club - I've heard a lot about it - and you never know who else may be in the audience! Unfortunately, my Thursday evenings are committed to other things throughout February and March. Maybe next time Best wishes Grant

Hello Martin! I'm definitely interested, so perhaps you could put my name down if you're going to email Bedlam Management. Many thanks and best wishes, Richard

If you are going to talk to Bedlam about the club, why not ask them if Hayley could do a concert there for HWI members only? That venue could probably be filled just by offering tickets on here!

Hi Roger A nice idea but probably not practical from a commercial perspective. There would only be 30 - 40 HWI members + guests interested which would not make it viable unless tickets were made available to the general public in which case I am sure Bedlam would prefer a larger venue. Cheers Martin

Hello folks! Only three days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI suggest we meet up in the Clarence pub, at the Piccadilly end of Dover Street, from 5:30pm. Hot meals will be available. Dover Street is right opposite the Ritz Hotel, which is adjacent to Green Park station on the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria Lines. See you there, Richard

I will let you know via mobile on the day Martin. Looking forward to it! Best wishes Mark

Last night was a marvellous yet unusual evening, listening to three classical artists at the top of their game in very initimate surroundings at the Arts Club in Mayfair. To say that it was like listening to a live performance in your owm living room is pretty near the mark!!! More details to follow from those that attended including future news of the Harmonic Club which has now become a joint venture between Bedlam and Deccca/Universal to promote young classical artists. Hello everybody! The evening got off to a slightly inauspicious start when Mark, Louise, Peter, Martin and myself met up at the Clarence pub to find it jam packed to the rafters. Luckily I knew of another pub just around the corner called the King's Head, and we spent a jolly hour there eating and drinking in the quiet Cellar Bar. Just before 7:00pm we made our way to the Arts Club and found Nicola and Hannah from Bedlam Management in the entrance hall. We collected our tickets and went upstairs to the bar for our 'welcome' drinks. The bar was crowded because there was a large party who were waiting for a meal in another part of the club. At 8:00pm we were called in to the front parlour to see the first performer, pianist Evelyne Berezovsky. She played brilliantly, but I found her music rather heavy and I couldn't say what it was. After a short interval, tenor Joel Prieto gave a recital which included an aria from Mozart's 'Magic Flute'. He had a good voice, but the acoustics in the parlour were rather dead because of the carpet. A little bit of echo would have given his voice extra presence. Raven were the last performers of the evening, and they played in the bar area, almost mingling with the audience. I didn't take notes, but their set included Brahms' Hungarian Dance No.5 and several other familiar pieces. They were the only performers to give an encore. The evening was a great success, and my only real criticism is that there weren't enough seats, especially in the front parlour where many people including me had to stand. Apart from that it was an excellent night out, and I will certainly go there again. Richard
