As a fun exercise for Christmas, imagine that you are having a dinner party for six people (including yourself as the host). Who would you invite? Reply by post if you want to participate, making the guest list as balanced and varied as possible. It might say a lot about us as individuals! The only rules are that the guests must be living, not family, and one guest must be Hayley (otherwise this thread is off topic! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif ). So, I’ll kick it off with: Hayley (of course!) Gywneth Paltrow Paul McCartney Twiggy (English model and actress) Peter Kay (English comedian)

The invitations to my Christmas Eve dinner have been sent out. Expected to show are: Hayley Faryl Katherine Camilla Susan
Though it's not required they will probably all wish to sing for their supper.

Sounds funny... One question, would it have to be all known people?

Well, I may be unorthodox, but since there are not restrictions, XD... here are my 5 chosen ones:
Hayley (lately she has become to me the living expression of all Christmas good valors) Ludwig Van Beethoven (brought back to life just for my Christmas dinner, XD) Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore (tbat character is so intrigating and interesting, and love to call him by his full name!) My first love... Way too long since I saw her And, as an old tradition says, one place in the table for an unexpected guest.

Great idea, Martin but the trouble with these fantasy dinners is that I have to imagine I'm eating it and then pretend I'm not hungry afterwards! Right, I will invite Hayley because it is obligatory but I have a feeling she may have been invited anyway! That leaves four. Okay, I would like to invite the four members of the HWI Team that I have not previously met, namely Joe, Jillian, Dori and Nordly. I've met the rest; they can order a takeaway! Roger

It's nice to see that Anne Boleyn will be headed to someone's party.

I know what Anne Boleyn will have for dinner -- a great big chop! Unfortunately she might have trouble swallowing it! Richard

Okay, okay, enough with the Boleyn puns! I know it was nearly 500 years ago, but I think it's disgraceful what happened to her. I guess I don't find it funny! We can make Henry VIII jokes until the cows go home, though! XD (who's side am I on, I wonder!?)

Sorry, Anne Boleyn is not allowed because the rules clearly state that the headcount must be six!
