Hi Richard and Libby! Due to the extended outage, I've disabled our custom plug-in called Classic ProBoards Menu...this will give us the basic menu setting. I hope Photobucket can restore their service soon!

I never log out. I'm logged out once I close all my windows anyway, so why bother? Anyway, glad I could help. I'm helpful that way at my job, too, finding new/previously-unknown ways to perform a certain task in our computer system. Now, I'm by no means a computer tech-y, but I'm occasionally able to figure out how to do things (remember, I'm able to "untangle" Hayley's instagram photos for comet (you can only find the jpg of the photo if you went to that person's instagram page first, and nowhere else, and only clicked on that one photo you wanted to share; otherwise, it takes longer to find, and I do know how to do it, but it takes too long too explain).

Photobucket is currently down for maintenance, so the buttons at the top of the forum and other images have disappeared again. Hopefully it's only for a short period. photobucket.com/Richard

Sadly, Photobucket is still down for maintenance after well over 6 hours, for the second time within 3 weeks. We'll have to consider hosting the custom menu buttons somewhere else if this continues to happen, this length of downtime twice within a month is really quite unacceptable. I managed for years at work without seeing the menu buttons at all, as until recently my company's Websense filters blocked anything from photobucket. I have a link to recent threads in my favourites and just access the forum from there; I stay logged in.
If the standard proboards menu bar works, then I would recommend sticking with it.

Richard Hi Richard, That Photobucket blog post you quoted contains incorrect information because, as you can see from the comments on their Twitter page, it was down for over half a day after that... around 24 hours in all from what I can see. It was definitely still down at 2 am UK time this morning when I checked. In view of these two sets of problems in the last three weeks and the comments from you, Libby and John, we will have a discussion about what to do so for the moment, I will leave the buttons off. Hi all, Yes, if a good many members wish to use the default menu word buttons (as it is now) and after staff discussion, we will do so. Please chime in...if you would like to see the menu words larger, different colour...do say so. Speaking for myself, I would like to see the words centred on the bar...seeing the HOME way on the left us playing havoc with my OCD!

I don't mind the arrangement, or the placement, but if they were centered, that would be fine with me, too.
The only thing that I'm curious about is if I got a notification/message, would I see it without clicking on the appropriate link (Messages, Profile, etc.).
