I expect she is twice as well known though, and that's what counts these days. That's why Cowell runs rings around everyone else - promotion!

Oh dear ! I bought a ticket to see Camilla tonight with Blake but she's in Manchester doing a gig for a pet charity ! Moral to the story: Be careful booking a concert purely to see the guest artist, even when it DOES print her name on the ticket !! P.S. I've just checked the theatre's website and annoyingly, they're still saying she'll be there ! I shall be having words with them later but it probably isn't their fault. Although they didn't mention it on stage, Blake told me later that Camilla had only informed them yesterday morning that she wouldn't be joining them last night. I have to say that's a pretty shabby way to treat both them and her fans. Her tweet to me now rings very hollow indeed: This of course isn't the first time I've been stood up by a woman ! Lucy is also a dog lover so I'm just hoping that the Kennel Club doesn't hold its annual bash the same night as she's appearing as a special guest ! What was it that Verdi said about fickle women ? La donna e mobile !

Camilla is now recording her third album and has asked fans for suggestions. If you have one send her a tweet and she says the best one will go on the album. Mine was the hymn "Be still my soul" which as you probably know is based on the tone poem "Finlandia" by Jean Sibelius. She SMed me to say she loves it so I'd say I'm in with a shout and she owes me a favour after what happened at her last concert ! (She has promised me free tickets to a show of my choice so we'll see !)

That's awesome, Jeff! I hope she follows through! She is another artist on my bucket list to see live.

Latest interview including details of her new single. www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-3218183/Camilla-Kerslake-dating-England-rugby-captain-Chris-Robshaw-signed-Gary-Barlow-fighting-breast-cancer-humour.htmlI like how she points out she didn't do to a conservatoire. I wonder who she is thinking of there ? Camilla will not be singing the English anthem at the Rugby World Cup since it puts her partner off his game ! I'm more interested in who will be singing the NZ anthem. Here would be a golden opportunity for Hayley to get back into the public eye, maybe do a slot on Breakfast TV and let us know how her eventual next album is going instead of which we get nothing while other singers are using the opportunity to promote their work. The tournament starts next week so I would have thought we'd have heard something by now but then when do we ever hear anything from Hayley these days ? I can't see her travelling to Newcastle or Cardiff to sing a 2 minute anthem but the All Blacks first game is at Wembley so you never know.......if she's in London at the time. Camilla will be appearing on Radio 2's "Friday Night is Music Night" this week at 8pm in a special concert which will celebrate the Rugby World Cup 2015. Details here: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b066w8sqIf memory serves, Hayley appeared on the same show 4 years ago and sang "World in Union". The fact that she isn't on the show this time round tells me that for sure we won't get a new album from her this year since this would have been a good chance to promote it.

I thought that was a nice interview on Lorraine and I have downloaded the new single Come Home which I really like, it has a sort of country sound and is also a bit classical too with harp and the part at the end sounds a bit Enya like. This makes me look forward to the next album, especially if there is more original stuff on there rather than the usual covers.
