Yes Camilla did mime. The oboe melody at the start gave it away immediately. It was exactly the same as on the album. Actually I don't really like that intro. Too jaunty for a solemn hymn like "Abide with me." Hayley's version is much better. Come to think of it, if I'd pretended to do my job (without actually doing it) I'd have been sacked !

Hey guys, I just interviewed Camilla.
She said that she met Hayley last night and said that she's "adorable" and a "really lovely person". She said that since they were both from New Zealand, they had things to talk about!
From what I got out of the interview, Camilla will be performing at the O2 for the Roots and Flutes festival in May, performing four concerts with Russell Watson over the summer, touring with the Priests, and launching her second album in October. Busy lady!
I saw her perform twice last week, and as I said in the other thread, I can safely say that her performance on Popstar to Operastar was a case of extreme nerves. She even mentioned it in the interview, saying it was her worst performance she has ever done and "annoyingly her most watched performance". She seemed really annoyed with herself, but she has plenty of time to wash her hands of it. When I saw her live she was absolutely fine! Both times! XD

Jeff - I gave her your message - she says she looks forward to it! She knew who you were, too! Drew caught a really good life performance of Camilla singing 'Closest Thing To Crazy' at the All Angels concert in Leamington Spa. The lighting was terrible in that venue, but Drew managed to capture it well! www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtoOd9k5m8g

Hi Nicola,
Your recent interview with Camilla was outstanding! Very insightful information as to her future work as well a good replay of her work leading up to her nomination.
Best wishes,
Joe

Camilla and Faryl feature in this week's "Hello" magazine. She says at the Classical Brits she'll be singing "Nessun Dorma". I thought that was a tenor aria ?! Oh well, should be interesting. I think she's performing it with Blake.

A review of last night's concert is now on Camilla's forum. Find out why she called me a very bad boy !! Nothing sinister but I think I may have added to her waistline !!

hey all I just found out that Camilla will be singing the part of Cosette in the 25th anniversary of Les Miserables at the O2 in London on the 3rd October... here's a link to the youtube video advertising it...Camilla's bit is about half way I think... www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEFgU8YcxVwand here's a link to the official Les Miserables 25th Anniversary website 25.lesmis.com/?gclid=CNPCpePgiaICFRaZ2Aod11qRVAtickets are on sale from tomorrow (Sunday 6th June) I think it would be very interesting to see Camilla sing this part as it is, from what I've heard quite a demanding role even for one night. I wish I could go to this but I'm going to the show in London later on in October...my dad organised it for my 18th Birthday which is in mid October long before we heard about this so I'm still thrilled to be going to see this show...it sounds incredible- it must be too as it's been going for so long lol! Best wishes Sing who is now going to (reluctantly) go back to Maths revision :/
