LOL I wonder how much she cost when they scanned her barcode at the checkout? Whatever it was, Pudsey got a good deal there! The next time I go to Tesco I must look out for the shopping aisle labeled "Classical Crossover Artists". Martin

Hello everybody! I spent a delightful twenty minutes at Tesco this morning watching Hayley having fun in the photoshoot. Although I was quite looking forward to seeing her new look from close range, I wasn't too disappointed when she emerged from her minicab with her hair down in ringlets on both sides. She had photographs taken with Pudsey by a till, in one of the aisles, and finally outside with Pudsey pushing Hayley in the shopping trolley. At this point I wanted one myself, but unfortunately she was a limited edition of one and Pudsey had beaten me to it! I had a nice little chat with Hayley afterwards and told her that her Twitter was now our best source of information. I then said how much I enjoyed her performances at the Festival of Remembrance and on the Alan Titchmarsh Show, but when I told her I liked her new look on the latter she winced and said "I'm not so sure about that!" Apparently she has recently been working with a hair and make-up artist who wanted to give her a bold new look, but Hayley clearly prefers to vary her style in her own way. If anybody talks to her about this, I think she would appreciate it if you state a preference for her own creations. Hayley is also looking forward to performing with Faryl Smith at Twickenham on Saturday, and she also confirmed her appearance at the Emeralds & Ivy Ball for Cancer Relief UK. I've added both events to her Concert Schedule for 2009. Richard

Thanks, for the report, Richard! I'm intrigued about how Hayley's 'new look' is the work of a stylist. To be honest, it doesn't look much different from how Hayley has always dressed -- black tights, shortish dress. She's also been wearing her hair in a side pony tail at public events since at least July. I think her hair on Tichmarsh was quite nice, but the problem was that they shot her from the wrong angle the entire time so you couldn't see the detail of her hairstyle. It's actually quite prettily twisted around the back -- but you just couldn't see it on the broadcast. It also sounds like Hayley will be having a busy weekend!

Hi Jillian, LOL I wonder how much she cost when they scanned her barcode at the checkout? I bet that the barcode scan would read "Priceless". Bill

Hi Richard
Many thanks for your report from this mornings photoshoot with Hayley and Pudsey. I assume you were the only HWI representative there? - at least we had a presence.
Were there any other people taking pictures? From the Wire Image photo's it all looks very clinical as though the store was closed almost.
Doesn't sound as though Hayley was too happy with the 'new look' hairstyle - must remember that!
Best wishes Grant

Hi Bill I bet that the barcode scan would read "Priceless". We have a saying ..... "If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it!" Best wishes Grant

The store was fully open but very quiet, and the photoshoot was a very low key affair. Nobody else was taking any notice, let alone taking photographs, so I'm glad I was there to support Hayley. I've just seen Hayley and Lee Mead presenting the cheque it was for just over 1 million pounds which is very good...Lee Mead couldn't read it at first so Hayley had to take over - the number was too large Sing X

Hello Sing and everyone
I also just watched Hayley and Lee present the cheque on CIN. It was for just over £1.8 million but Lee started by saying one thousand and Hayley had to correct him. After that they read the amount out between them. I thought Hayley looked lovely in a dark jacket (I think!) over a sparkly top and with her hair over one shoulder.
The segment only lasted for a couple of minutes but they showed some video of the recording session at Abbey Road at the beginning with several glimpses of Hayley.
Best wishes Grant
