What an incredible performance...
i hate to say it on this board but after that performance i think little Jackie is going to eclipse our beloved Hayley soon...
i love listening to them both but there is no way Hayley sang that well at 10 and the rate of improvement is just astounding.

I just love being right on occasion so I will quote myself from a few weeks ago: ...My advice to her is to sing ALW's "Pie Jesu" with all she's got and take no prisoners. Knock it out of the park and make the world forget about the other kids who rode that song to the bank. If she can own it like no other then the smart money is on her winning the final grand prize. And she most assuredly DID knock it out of the park! Well done, Jackie! ! I think we have a winner.

Ok, this was stunning, certainly, beyond anything I could imagine... I liked this one even better than her previous American's Got Talent performances: much lighter voice and a much lighter vibratto, it's really an amazing control of voice and even technique for such a young person. I must admit, at her age, noone comes close to her, not even Hayley.

Oh, and just noticed something that Nicola and some of us will be relieved about. Jackie's O Mio Babbino Caro video has not the "Opera singer" words on the title, but "Classic singer" instead. I wonder if Jackie itself had something to do with this change.

I think they (her family) keep pressing to call her a classical crossover singer. I've never seen the term so much in the American press. I saw one paper say 'Jackie calls herself something called "Classical Crossover"' I got the image in my head that the writer was hanging the term as far as possible away from themselves with the tip of their thumb and finger and pinching their nose, as if it was an alien, smelly thing. XD

XD Well Billboard.com doesn't seem to have a classical crossover chart any more, they renamed it the Classical Chart last year. Perhaps 'classical crossover' is considered 'old hat' in the US music industry these days? Dave

The voters on these shows are fickle - and frankly I dont trust their taste sometimes.....This being said Steve, in my opinion, they are still trying to find the baseball. There was by my hearing exacly one concession to age - and I'll bet 99.9 percent of the audience would never notice. She sang this about half again as fast as it is normally done- presumably to get around her breath limitation The time limit on songs helps her I think. That caveat aside, the performance was by far the best of the three for the show, and probably the best performance I have heard from her overall. The little things which used to remind me she was ten are fading rapidly. When a judge implies that simply being a judge at her contest might be the high point of his career, what exactly does that mean? Jon

I think most things play better in the media here if they can be cast yes or no, black or white.

Here's the official vid: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ar0r02FZngIf the first 30 seconds her singing don't put a Mt. Everest-size lump in your throat, check yourself for a pulse! That said, the addition of the choir in the second half was borderline tacky and detracted from the beauty of her performance. I think if she wins we will all remember where we were and what we were doing that day for the remainder of our lives.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but her debut album has been pulled from the shelves. You can't even download it anymore (physical copies were sold out even before AGT, anyway).
I guess I count myself among the lucky few that have a physical copy. I imagine it will have the same value as Hayley's Walking in the Air has.

Good find! Yep #121 on the Billboard chart with 4000 units sold, #2 on the Top Classical Crossover Albums, and #30 on Top Digital Albums.
