Hi Martin The results of the competition aren't visible under Worldwide and JulyCompetitions yet though. I hope so! Although it's saying "Tweeter Wall of Fame is open", all I get is the map page. I can't see anything of any the closed compentition results. Best wishes Grant

That was a great effort by everyone. Considering we initially just wanted to get Hayley into the TOP 10 If you find your self going into voting withdrawal you can still vote for Jonathan Ansell tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/uk/mr-twitter

Hello everyone
Time to be serious now after the excitement and elation of the past few hours; time to take stock of what we achieved. The effort that everyone has put into this "fun" competition to get Hayley into third place has been exceptional and shows just how important Hayley is to all of us.
Maybe other singers fans have been like minded - if so, well done to you to, but I think what is significant is that we won (and yes, I mean 'won' because we achieved what we ultimately set out to do) with a margin of 335 votes which in the scale of things is nothing
If there hadn't been those dedicated enough to drive round with laptops seeking open lines to use to vote; or who were prepared to stay up into the early hours and probably all night in some cases; and if some of us had not put in that little bit of extra effort over the past few weeks we would not have made it!
Looking back, I cast my first vote with Hayley in 26th place on 199 votes. At that time the target was to get 11th place, or 10th if we were really lucky, to ensure Hayley at least had a permanent place on Tweeterwall. Then it was "Can we get onto the top shelf in 5th place?" That seemed possible, but when it was suggested that we could close a 5000 vote gap in 7 days to overtake Pink, I had my doubts.
For my own part, I've had the computer on for every waking moment I've been at home and have voted as often as I could or as often as the system would let me. I don't think I watched a single TV programme right through, or ate a meal without popping upstairs to vote at least once during July and, like many of you, jobs have been broken down into 20 minute slots. Gawd knows how many working hours have been given up by those of you who have managed to keep voting at work, but hey! it's all in a good cause.
What will Hayley make of all this? Well, I believe that the dedication and effort put in by everyone over the past weeks will be far more important to her than her third place, but that's our Hayley.
Best wishes Grant

Wow! Well done people! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifUnfortunately, the internet in my house is shared between 3 people, so I wasn't able to vote as nearly as much as I'd like, but the results still came - 3rd place!! Brilliant effort!!! I just wish I could be there to see Hayley's beaming smile when someone tells her the good news!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAgain - well done to those who staked it out day and night to get Hayley in the top 3! Brilliant! Ben

Well said Grant! I think I started voting when Hayley was at 31. My initial goal was to get her into the top 20...but after a day or so I thought that was going to be a near impossible task, and thought it would be good if we could feature Hayley "near the top of the page" for the promotion...I had no idea that we would manage to get her up to 3rd place!! It shows how much dedication we all have. Some of us had more time than others, but we all put in votes when we could. Our work has paid off! Time for the celebratory drinks!

Best wishes Grant Hi Grant, It isn't obvious, but if you go to the Tweeter Wall of fame "Map Page" (the one with a clickable map of the world) and hover over the bar above the map, "Worldwide" will pop up. You can then click on that to go to the worldwide page and choose either the June or July competitions, but our competition is not there (yet). Martin

Does anyone know what the people on Pink's forum thought of this result, if they didn't see that Hayley was gaining on them? They were most probably quite shocked at the end result! Cheers Ben

Hi Ben and everyone Does anyone know what the people on Pink's forum thought of this result, if they didn't see that Hayley was gaining on them? In truth, Pink's fans have been rather badly mislead, because their countdown clock was showing a longer time, they would be expecting to have another voting push. They will log on today expecting to vote and the competition will just not be there. Whilst that has worked in Hayley's favour, it does seem rather unfair. Best wishes Grant

All in all, I think the way this competition has been run has been pretty shambolic. With all the confusion over the cutoff time, and change of maximum voting frequency on the last day, plus the outages yesterday (which to be fair, was probably not the fault of the organisers). Let's hope the organisers can learn from this for future ones.

Hi Grant and fellow Hayley Fans, Grant, I think you summed up our Quest very nicely. In those early voting times, I don't think any of us really thought we could get Hayley anywhere close to where she finished, but we kept encouraging each other to stick with it. It was incredible to observe people from all over the world, with very different backgrounds, come together in this effort. I think we would all agree that the core motivation behind our efforts was not necessarily to win the big prize but a desire to express the respect we have for Hayley. Respect, not just for her tremendous talent, but for the person that she is. So . . . tonight, after work, I'll raise a nice glass of Guinness to my friends here at HWI and to Hayley and say congratulations. Then, in honor of the voting interval, I will dutifully have another every 20 minutes. Thanks for allowing me to go along on the Quest. Bill

It's about 6:15am here in Seattle. I just woke up to look for where we stood and of course couldn't find the results. I knew you all would be up to share the latest. I'm sure glad we did a big push at the end. And I agree that the people running this competition should have been a lot clearer and more responsive when emailed. You all have such good comments about this, I really don't have too much to add. Grant's last message about getting serious really struck a chord with me as this has really affected my life since Hayley was in 31st place. I got involved in supporting Hayley because I know a great singer when I hear one. I'm equally impressed with all of you (and those on the Decca forum too) - Her Fans!! I salute you for all of your amazing extra efforts!!

I got up at 5am to see if I could still vote for Hayley and of course the voting had finished. I couldn't see the final result so I rushed here to see how we did. Congratulations to everyone for getting Hayley to third spot. July will always now be remembered for this crazy competition. If an alien had been watching the earth this last month they would have thought we were all crazy lol. Well hopefully life can return to normal now. Thanks to everyone who voted for Hayley.
