It would be nice and exciting if she could do this, but I think it's already a lot that she's "tweeting" on twitter quite a bit. Besides, the next few months will be busy for her around the chat times, I'm pretty sure. Oct., she'll probably be in Japan, since her first concert is the 11th; Nov., will be right before the UK release of Winter Magic; Dec., concerts. Maybe January? Still, it's an awful lot to expect from her.
I don't see the harm in asking her about it publicly. If she doesn't want to come, she doesn't have to. I bet she would like to if she had time, but she probably won't. But, I guess if it's only for a few minutes like that other time, maybe she could manage it.

Dave, I can see your concern on this. Let us know what the moderators think in regards to your points and others that have been shared. Oh and when you say "tweeting her directly" do you mean a "https://i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifirect Message" (private message) on twitter, or a public tweet? Or both? I also see the point of not wanting to put pressure on Hayley. Thanks, Jono Hi Jono and all, We've now discussed this and the general feeling among the forum staff is that asking Hayley to participate in a Live Chat would put her in a difficult position if she isn't keen on the idea, and this is something we have always tried to avoid. The Live Chat itself would be un-moderated as I understand it, therefore uncontrolled, so comments or questions in the chat might also place Hayley in a difficult or embarrassing position. Hayley is of course able to participate in any Live Chat (or forum) that she wishes to, but the fact that she does not normally do so may indicate that it's something she prefers (or has been advised) to avoid. If so, I am sure there are very good reasons for it. So as far as HWI is concerned, and I can only speak for HWI, I don't think Hayley should be invited (by any means including Twitter) to participate in a Live Chat as suggested. Sorry! Dave

Dave Hi Dave, I hope this isn't HWI's final position on the matter, as I have a few more points for you to consider. If you want to we can take this discussion to private messages, but I thought I would introduce the points here first. Firstly, the live chat on Hayley Online is moderated. We run the risk of anyone joining and saying what they want, so we have a policy that a moderator must be present at all times during an organised fan chat. The current permanent moderators are Matt (owner), Libby, Dean and me, as we are all involved in the website...we also have the capability of setting up temporary moderators if needed (or extra permanent moderators). Secondly, after consideration of your issues with Hayley being put on the spot with personal questions, I think it would be a reasonable measure that we ban any questions and/or discussions that aren't related to Hayley's professional career, if she ever were to join in a live chat...with the obvious minor exclusions such as "How is the weather in London today?", etc.. We also need to make it clear to Hayley if/when she joins that these rules are in place so she does not have to answer the questions - chatters will be warned and removed if necessary. Thirdly, while we should not in any way put Hayley on the spot, I think she has every right to make the decision of whether to join in and chat or not. And I'm sure if she ever did join, it wouldn't be for long. As mentioned earlier, Hayley would have to deal with questions like this more often when dealing with fans after concerts. I'm sure she knows - more than us - what the rational decision would be. Lastly, while HWI can only make the decision within the scope of HWI, we all know that you are making decisions in the best interest of Hayley, hence we would likely accept any advice given. In saying that I think I will also be asking the moderators on the Official Forum for their views on this too. You've also got to remember that while we may eventually all agree to not invite Hayley to the chat, anyone else that hasn't seen this discussion could easily still invite her. Thanks Jono

Hi Guy's,
I have decided to add this topic from my view point. As I know "some" HWI members are aware of my credentials, so I think I can advise from a technical view point.
Firstly I think I should start by saying that main thing here is that we give Hayley the choice. Regardless of if Hayley ever joins a chat she has the choice to do so or not.
Secondly I would like to make comments on the Chatroom: I am currently running my own additional security checks for the safety & security of chat members which I will provide more technical details later.
The chatroom is moderated by Matt, Libby, Jono & I. Also the chatroom has features that has not been mentioned. This chat room can be made only viewable from the site also the speaker functionality would allow Hayley to talk as much or as little as she wants.
As regard to awkward questions, How would Hayley handle them after a concert?. In fact this way may prove easier for her to side-step any questions she may not want to answer, but I think Jono has the right idea regarding any rule breaker this happens regardless of who is in chat, I'd say we do the same thing here on HWI.
My view in this that we should provide as safe environment as possible for all with the chatroom regardless of who visits it.
As we all know Hayley has been known to check the forums so I don't think any more public messages are required
I'll comment more soon
Cheers Dean

I agree with Jono and Dean. Hayley has participated in a Live chat before, so it's possible she would again. And maybe she would only be on for a short time like that other time, too. So, that wouldn't allow too much time for uncomfortable questions. I don't see how it would be any worse than if she ventured into the Other Music board, if you know what I'm referring to. It starts with an R.

like Jono and Dean both said, the chatroom is well modded during chat time. If Hayley was to show up and we knew in advanced. We have 4 mods. I have 4 more people that is well trusted that has offered to help if i need them. I'm also sure HWI Staff members wouldn't mind helping if needed. Modding is not a problem at all.
We all know Hayley knows about the chat. So we do not need to make it public!!
Also if she ever doses come and we know, WE will only tell the ones that come every month.
If someone would like to tweet hayley, and invite her to chat your more then welcome to. Its her choice if she comes. But if she dose not answer, or says no, DO NOT send her another tweet back.
Also if someone that has good contact with Hayleys mgmt team, you may also talk to them about it. It may be the best choice to getting her in chat anyways.
If she decided to join chat, please get in contact with me, dean, libby or jono. Before anything else is said.
best way to contact me is via email: webmaster@hayleyonline.net
What ever is done, do not make her feel like she has to do it, just put the offer on the plate and let it be.

New Zealand - 7 AM October 10 Please let me know if i did bad math somewhere in the above times. Because of Day Light Savings it will be at 8am in New Zealand. It is going to be really difficult to work out all the time zones during these DLS changing times!! (considering most countries change on different dates)

That's doubtful, Ben. It'll be awfully early in Japan when it starts, won't it? Plus, she probably wouldn't have time.
