Libby,
You can probably play it back if you go to the chatroom and scroll up. Don't know how far back you can go though!

I think we discussed how the musician and the artist are simply the raw material for the music industry to feed off, to be used or misused as the record industry sees fit, To be used as bait for the press industry, like an advertisement, simply to attract attention to their next delivery of product, which we the consumers, should buy. Because their will be another crop next year, more than willing to sacrifice their souls on the great altar of profit for the shareholders who will always be baying for more blood and retribution. Or maybe that was just me.. We also discussed bit rates, microphones, recording, got Hayley - Once upon a time in the west played on RTE Lyric FMs Blue of the Night with the very agreeable Eamonn Lenihan while we were online, our dislike of and contempt for VODAfone and of course "The meaning of Life" which we have now solved. We exist, to hear Hayley sing, No more. This is the true meaning of life. All other pursuits are meaningless and in vain.

Haha, yep, I think you got it! In my case, it's to hear her sing in America... more often than every few years (or even once a year), and in more areas than just the east coast. And to sing in movies, and on DWTS, with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and whatever else I can think of.

Oh... you mean, getting him to sing with her? Oh yes, that too! I've thought of lots of things in the past! I've tweeted Josh about this numerous times, but no response of course. I just barely managed to get a reply from him recently, but it wasn't anything very important, although it was totally unexpected, and pretty funny, too! I wasn't sure I quite understood what he meant, but it seemed to entertain a lot of people. LOL Haha, I'll have to post it in the JG thread. Oh, yes, and Michael Buble. I tweeted him, too. I'm even following him, but he almost never posts anything, if it's even him posting. There are some celebrities where you can tell it's their management who are posting, not them.

Hi Libby, Was Josh banging his head becuase you are always on about Hayley? . Or because you think there is some better than him? Just tell him straight - Hayley is the world's finest female singer, and if he could find a way to duet with her, it would be fabulous. Martib D

Not sure exactly why he hit himself in the head. I don't know if it was because I said "You would favor that version (the alp horn YRMU), or because I said I preferred CW. Either way, I can claim that I was responsible for making him bleed!! When I said I preferred CW, I was talking about in comparison to the alp horns! It was pretty awful! LOL I still love Josh Groban's version, but I do like CW's version very much, too. I would say I like the versions fairly equally. Kind of the way I love both Hayley's and Enya's versions of May it Be. I love Hayley's because.. well, because it's Hayley! And I love Enya's because it's ethereal, and I love her tone, and how flowy she makes it sound. I just can't like one more than the other.

See you there Libby. And yes, we would like a few more participants. It's fun. And we don't bite. So come and see us next month. Always the second friday (or saturday in the antipodes) of each month.

One nice thing about my current situation is I can take control of my own schedule, and work when I choose. I think you need a job like that Libby! Martin D

I would love that! What types of jobs let you do that, anyway? If you own your own business, I guess, but I'm nowhere near ready to do anything of that sort, even if I have an idea for it. Don't think it will ever happen, though.

Well, I only work part time, and am contracted for 1 day a week, although I usually do two. Mostly my work is not time critical on a day to day basis, so I can usually choose which days I work. It is only different when I am visiting customers' sites. It usually works out that if I get the work done sometime duting the week it is OK. The work has a deadline, so I have to get it done by then, but when I actually work doesn't matter.
