Having had a meal out with my two nephews (on me for their birthday presents!), then a closure with several of you guys accompanied by a very mature cheddar cheese and a Pimm's (No1) with lemonade. Good night. Why not join us next time? Peter S.

Of course now when the site is working again, I will not be home, but of course I was last month, when the site was down. Oh well.

Libby,
That is a demonstration of a well known law of physics whose name I won't mention. But it states that when things go wrong, they do so in such a manner and at such a time as to cause the maximum inconvenience.

The nice weather that the rest of the country (and England) has been having finally made it over to the Pacific Northwest, even if the temperature is a little lower. So, I had to take advantage of it, even though I actually had a chat day off. I'm glad I could catch a few of you for a little while, though.

Thursday we had torrential rain, hailstones, thunder and lightning right overhead. A farm house nearby was badly damaged and then we had a 7 hour power cut. Tony

Yes, I know it has been rainier in England more recently (I check the weather for Hayley's current location every day in the newspaper), but I distinctly remember that not too long ago, I was seeing rather nice weather for London. So, unless the newspaper was wrong, I think your weather was a lot better than Seattle's for a while. Now it's the other way around, I guess. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

According to the records from my weather station, the average temperature for April so far is about 1.5 degrees C lower than March!

And we're having a pretty nice April so far! On Easter, we had the highest temp. ever recorded on that date! It got to almost 70 degrees F all around Seattle. Yeah, that's the highest. Personally, I'd be happy if the whole summer wasn't much warmer than that (as long as the sun is out). Last summer left a lot to be desired, though, being cloudy a lot, too. I wasn't complaining about the temperature, though.
