Hi everyone,
These photos are truly remarkable. Hopefully I'll be able to travel one day and visit some of the places you photograph!

In the fall of 2008, our daughter, Courtney, studied as an exchange student at the University of Salamanca in Spain. Just before Christmas, Susan and I traveled to Spain to do some touring and to move Courtney back home. Here we are at the Restaurante Isidro in Salamanca. Here is Courtney admiring a plate of squid cooked in its own ink and striking a very Hayley-like pose. Susan and Courtney are musically talented with Courtney being an accomplished violinist. I, on the other hand, can only play the radio and iPod. Bill (Hope I got the photo sizing correct)

Hi Bill.
Thanks for sharing a little family gathering in unusual circumstances. I have to say the plate of squid in its own ink was not appealing to me but what did it taste like? As far as fish is concerned I'm very basic: prawn, salmon and cod and chips (fried) are my limits.

Peter S. Hi Peter, This dish is certainly not something you would commonly find in Kansas. It was, as you might expect, "chewy" and had a somewhat sweet taste. It was not something that I would choose but Courtney loved it. Of course, she is a bit odd that way, she developed a taste for Sushi at the age of 3 and will eat most anything that comes from the sea. Bill

Hi Bill Thanks for sharing your family photo's with us. I have to say that your daughter is very brave to eat the squid - and she actually enjoys it If I was even to attempt to eat that, I think I would need something stronger than orange juice to wash it down with i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThanks for sharing Mark

Hi Bill and everyone I have to admit that I like most 'fishy' things including squid (which I think I first ate whilst on holiday in Greece) However, cooking the darn thing in it's own ink, is not only downright rude, but also looks very unpalatable! Best wishes Grant

Best wishes Grant I agree, Grant. There are also concerns about permanent staining of the person consuming said "squid cooked in it's own ink". i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBill
