To Mark and Ben and everyone else.
Writing personally, I think it is great this sharing of personal moments, be they holidays, experiences, family and friends. I feel that what HWI offers, which other sites don't usually is an interaction amongst ourselves, extending the Hayley personality effect wider still. What is delightful about this sharing is the lack of egotistical promotion, just a simple opening of awareness of one another.

However... they (and the ones in your subsequent two posts) do exceed our maximum width and file size guidelines for photos displayed in forum threads so I have reluctantly had to remove the image tags. Members can still click on the links to see them and you are free to re-post them or re-edit them as displayed images, if you can first reduce the widths to 800 pixels or less and reduce the file sizes to 100 KB or less. Photos exceeding the limits mentioned, especially if there are a lot of them, can make life difficult for some members. All is explained in our Tech Support thread here. hwi.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Support&action=display&thread=1801&page=1#38374Cheers, Dave Hi Dave Sorry about that! I won't repost those pictures, as the links provided are sufficient, but I will do the reduction method you described using 'Paint' for my future pictures Cheers Ben

Well, here are a few more weirdos. This photo was taken at night. That's why it is very grainy, but it is the same view that I posted above Then we get into the specialist areas. My camera has a special setting for Food Photography And finally, there are five different models of Volkswagen Transporter and all have been converted into camper vans. I think you can see three of these models here, and there was an example of the other two too (tutu) on that camp site that night. Martin

Hello everyone Yesterday morning I went into town to photograph this very unusual scene. So, can anyone tell me what is so unusual about it? Shouldn't be too difficult even if you're not familiar with Derby town centre. Best wishes Grant

I presume that this is a view down Iron Gate. Has someone stolen the clock or replaced it with a "Grant was 'ere" plaque.

Hi Dean and Drew Yes, of course you are both quite correct but no Dean, I didn't do it in Photoshop! Here are a couple of close-ups: I was quite surprised to discover that the only physical external parts of the Cathedral clock are the hands and the spindle. Everything else is painted. The story behind the missing clock face is down to the special type of paint used and the recent spell of very damp weather which has resulted in the paint not drying as it should which, in turn, has prevented the gilt numerals being applied. There you see. You learn something new every day! Best wishes Grant

Gini and I are a little concerned about our son Jonathan's enthusiastic wildlife photography. We are sure that he was upset missing out on BBC's "Wildest Dreams" competition, he seems to be trying to outdo the other contestants.

If that's not a montage then good luck to him. I remain enamoured of the Youtube pics of the two guys who bought Christian and had him for awhile as a home pet. I think that re-meeting with him after his introduction to the wild a superb statement of humankind's best inter-relationship with animals and all of life. If you go to home page hwi.proboards.com/index.cgi the last section of the index (before stats and current matters) you'll find the master link to a whole subset of threads on matters technical. Grand Prismatic Pool, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming Click on thumbnail to enlargeBill Edit: The file size is nearly 270 KB, so I replaced the image with a clickable thumbnail. Please keep your image files to a maximum of 100 KB. Thanks, RichardEDIT: Thanks, Richard. I see what I did. I linked the wrong photo.
