[ Ops I just had to modify this post as I spelt Hayley wrong, that would be a hanging offence here wouldn't it its on the list, but there are more serious infractions; I'm sure you'll live a long and healthy life despite the setback and you can console yourself in the knowledge that you've come to the right place to make that mistake... though you may sometimes wonder from our 50 last posts Hi Spiderman. Is it possible that I have inadvertently started an off topic discussion here, I'm a little behind with following your pattern of thought here spiderman , being new I'm kind of feeling my way around trying to get to know a few members and following the various threads which I cannot really comment on knowing so little about the talented lady, but would I be correct in assuming you mean that that this is more like a Jackie Evancho fan site then a Hayley Westenra fan site. I think Ive learn't more about Jackie then I have about Hayley in the last few days but then I'm only new so cannot really comment but I have at least met another Ozzie Hayley fan which I had almost given up on here in Australia. Regards Rob

Hi Spiderman. Is it possible that I have inadvertently started an off topic discussion here, I'm a little behind with following your pattern of thought here spiderman , no, you where right... you'll get used to me, i tend to be a little bit lateral minded about things... or get lost in hayley related details; lets just say i have a certain enthusiasm for moving this forum back toward our core business [hayley, in case anyone else is wondering].. dont worry about the shortage of ozzie hayley fans... they are so rare in hamilton, most people think im obsessed.

Hello Spiderman. ok i totally understand about others thinking your obsessed :je I get the same thing here, what does shock me is I would have thought Hayley would be a national treasure to NZ, I imagined that all New Zealanders would be so proud of her and have to admit that I actually have a feeling of proudness knowing she comes from a country just across the water from us and I have quite a few NZ friends here and I'll admit they have heard of her but are not true fans in the sense. regards Rob PS are we off topic talking about Hayley.

Hi Rob, Spiderman & Grant Yes, discussions are getting way off topic in this thread. Please continue the Hayley related themes in the Miscellaneous board, creating a new thread if necessary. Cheers Martin

Right letsg get back then. Was a fabulous icy morning with rime on the trees, looked fabulous in the sunlight. I very much regret not taking my camera to work, so the best I could do is what follows, taken through my office window with a mobile phone, so sorry about the quality. Martin D

Temperature at the time was -14 C Believe it or not, these were taken in colour. The location is Locko Park - a private estate a mile or so from my home and the temperature a very chilly - 16 C Best wishes Grant

-16! Wow. The closest I've experienced to that is.. -4 degrees during a McDonald's tour which included a walk into their freezer. Nice photos, Grant! I especially like the third one. It's like something straight out of a poem. cheers, Joanne

Since the moon was going to rise about 9pm in the East I went to the New Brighton Pier to see the Solar eclipse of the moon. Unfortunately it was cloudy near the horizon so it took a while to see the moon. The New Brighton Pier Looking towards Banks Peninsula where the moon would rise. Typical Nor-West wind clouds in the sunset. Since the moon was going to take a while to rise above the clouds I went to the Estuary where I finally saw the moon in it's pink colour. It was a lovely evening being very warm because of the Nor-West wind (23deg C at 10pm) and a lot of people had come out with their cameras so they would have been pleased they saw the moon.

Since the moon was going to rise about 9pm in the East I went to the New Brighton Pier to see the Solar eclipse of the moon..... "Solar eclipse of the moon" -- sounds like something Yogi Berra would say! Just so there's no confusion, it was a lunar eclipse we saw, not a solar eclipse.
