Same, Sharon. I like that she seems to evolve her sound a little with each new album. Very interested to see what she comes up with next.

I hope she'll also 'evolve' if it comes to subject.
I love her music, but I hope that, the older she gets, she will put other experiences then 'crushes' in her music.
I mean, in most songs, love's a big subject, nothing wrong with, the more the merrier. But the High school thing is something for fase 1. Fase 2 should be a little different. I just hope she won't be stuck in fase 1, cause then people will forget about her, slowly on.
But I'm sure she knows that kind of stuff. She must have at least a few advisors or something.

I'm sure she'll widen the repertoire subject-wise sooner or later, but she's still only twenty (Hard as it is to believe, given her success level!) so I won't hold my breath for this album.
Apparently, first single Mine will be about her current fear of relationships, so we're still strongly in romance territory.
By the time she hits album four, though, I certainly hope she has more to talk about. Romance is nice and all, but four albums of the same kind of thing would be pushing the limits, I think.
I always think that the third & fourth albums are the ones that make or break any artist, so this one is of particular interest to me...

Well, that's what I also meant to say. Too many of the same stories, will bore people eventually.
But you're right the third or fourth album might be the 'make or break' point. I hope she'll make it though. I hate to see that all the anti-Taylors can say 'Told you so.'
Faith Hill and LeAnn Rimes mostly use same subject (the Romance subject) as well, and they are still popular and loved. Just to name a few.

Yeah, I hope she makes it, too. Talent like that... I always hate to see it fade.

Third album Speak Now is due at the end of October this year. WOW! I'm absolutely thrilled to hear that Taylor has a new album coming up! I'm really looking forward to see what she's done in the album. But indeed, hopefully it's not going to be all about boys this time. Perhaps some inspirational songs and songs about life would be nice! CANT WAIT! Cheers, Anshita

I admit they are bit better, especially live. I was little dissapointed when I heard Taylor sing live at the Grammy award show with Stevie Nicks. But I've also heard her sing wonderful live in other shows. Taylor is no Faith or LeAnn, but who knows, she's only 20 years old. Sharon*

Yeah. She was a lot younger when she did Run, but still good. Like her cover of Alan Jackson's 'Drive', too. She's VERY impressive on There Ain't Nothin' About You though, isn't she? Clearly the last year or so spent touring has improved her live performances immensely. She always had the showmanship, but she's really getting the voice now, too. Played that about half a dozen times straight the first time I came across it

I haven't seen all of the videos on Youtube from her concerts, though I did saw most. I have had a long time that I was looking for different songs from Hayley and I tend to stick at one singer for a while until moving on to the next.
I remember I also saw a live performance from Love Story from 2008, I forgot which award show this was, but you can hear the difference, cause then she didn't do all to well. Though I liked the whole show around it.

Yeah, she used to be a much weaker singer than she is now and you definitely can hear the difference. If she put the same level of dedication into improving her singing as she put into learning guitar, though, it's easy to see how. That and a year & a half of sold out concerts She'll never be in contention for 'world's best singer' awards, but she now has a very nice voice that will stand comparison with all bar the best. She should be pretty proud of that, I think.

New single Mine got leaked, then released early, then went to #1 on iTunes in four hours which is the fastest any song has ever reached #1. Taylor already held the record, but beat her own best time!
