You can keep him, if you like! Wish I was there or in S somewhere else. Comet, mind the koalas. I've heard they bite. Or are there koalas in NZ too or just in Australia? Have a great time all. Paddy

I think Koalas are just Australian... but a NZ member will have to confirm that for me. I don't know about biting.... I think that it's more those big claws that you've got to worry about. They're quite territorial, so if you're going to be climbing gumtrees, watch out! But sometimes they're just big softies: Have you all seen this? If you haven't, it was taken during the Victorian Bushfires this year -- which I think was Australia's worst ever natural disaster. The Koala (Sam as he was called) was so dehydrated that he drank two bottles of water given to her by the aptly named fire fighter David Tree. It's quite remarkable because Koalas don't normally drink -- they get their water from chewing on gum leaves. Anyway, that's your Australian animal lesson for the day!

I think it started like this:- Ireland to London Heathrow,London to Bangkok, to Sydney and finally to Christchurch NZ. little wonder it won't take long before he starts pushing a few of these :zz It was rather wet when they arrived but today it's a cracker of a day, cheers, Rodders

I am sorry I missed seeing Comet but I was too ill on Friday and Saturday and was just able to go the Mothers Day Concert on Sunday. I always seem to get sick when I am on holiday and now of course since I go back to work tomorrow I am well again lol.

Hi Ross, sorry to hear you were unwell during Paul's visit,I figured something must have gone wrong when we hadn't heard from you. Did you manage to catchup with Paul he had tickets to Dame Malvina's Concert last Sunday and he was going to look out for you. Hope your feeling better now even though you are at work Take care, cheers, Rodders

Hi Belinda, Comet, Glenda, Rodders & Belinda's mum & dad
So pleased that you made it to NZ at last Paul and its wonderful to see that you met up with Belinda & Rodders. What top class hospitality you and your parents so kindly offer over there Belinda. It really is very special to see our forum friends united from different parts of the world and in Hayleys home town too.
One day, I will have to get myself sorted out and will come over to NZ myself.
In the meantime, have a great time over there Paul & Glenda. I can so clearly remember when I saw Dame Malvina in London - it was an unmissable experience.
Best wishes to all
Mark
