Mark has expressed all the sentiments needed so well I can only say 'echo' and enjoy to the full. It will be all too quickly over but you will always live off the memories.

Hi Paul,
I suppose you feel wealthy in N Z. Since the Euro is so much higher than th N Z dollar. Are the prices there inflated to even things out? See you and Glenda in Dublin in December.

Hi Paul! I hope Glenda and you enjoy NZ although there's no Hayley live at concert. But somehow I'm sure you do. NZ is a great country that can't be compared with other places in the world. So take a lot of pictures and drive safely! Hope to see you in Dublin in December. Best wishes, Thomas

HI folks we're at lake Taupo at the moment waiting to do a skydive in the morning from 15,000 ft ,, waited all day today for clear weather but got none. We were in Picton the other night and apparently missed a 4.2 earthquake when we left for Wellington on the ferry. Listened to Treasure on the way out through the islands from the south island. The scenery here is really stunning and I love driving on their bendy roads, real drivers roads with drops off the edges of up to a thousand feet in places. Listening to local radio stations most of the time ,, love the lingo.
We did make it to the Dame Malvina Concert In Christchurch, so Ross I will be in touch with you when I get back home to Dublin. Have to be in Auckland tomorrow evening to leave the almost new Maui camper van back to base.
Thanks for all the good wishes, and if the Kiwis want to keep me here I would be more than willing to stay.. Thanks Belinda for a great evening up at Lyttleton Harbour, what a beautiful place with an easy going lifestyle to match the scenery.
Gotta FLY NOW with a bit of luck .
Havin' a great time wish you all were here

Larry Hi Larry. NZ "feels" cheap to us Aussies. (not derogatory) but its not a massive difference. Cars are not manufactured there so have to be imported whatever model they are. That makes them pretty "expensive" for Kiwis. Graeme

Ha ! I was looking at new cars here in Taupo and I couldn't believe how cheap they are here. Wish I coud fit one in a rucksack.
In Ireland at least 45% of the price is what we call VRT or Vehicle Registration Tax.

Hi Folks, Did the 15,000 foot skydive over Lake Taupo, winds were quite strong and we did not make it back to the "Official landing" ground and landed in a field that had been recently vacated by a large number of cattle. I was on the bungy jump platform at Taupo but it just seemed a bit tame, I work outdoors on heights sometimes, so I opted for the skydive instead, your face wobbles and creases all over the place and speeds of 200kmph (120 mph) are reached in the freefall before the ripcord is pulled, When the parachute is deployed you slow down real suddenly in the harness and you can sing like one of the BeeGees for a few minutes.
Back home safe in Dublin, 16 degrees celcius and sunny,
The Kiwis had no desire or reason to detain us in their fair land, Pity, I would have gladly stayed, what a charming place and people..

I just want to thank Belinda and Rodders for driving us through the maze of Christchurch and visiting with us. And a special thanks to Belinda's parents Barbara and Barry, who fed and entertained us while we were there and they were such a pleasure to just sit and chat with and our time there was gone far too soon. L to R Glenda, Shania the beautiful baby, Belinda, Paul, Barbara, Rodders Barbara and Barry make theses wonderful documentary style videos about New Zealand, They love their country in the best possible way, They walk it and travel through it no matter what the weather throws at them, They love the land and the sky and the water and the sunshine and the creatures that walk, fly and swim before them, They video it and then edit the videos and add music and commentary to the finished work, A few times I thought I was watching New Zealand TV the editing and sound were seamless and all without a computer in sight. fascinating video about places that we were going to visit and you know these people love their beautiful country and the mother earth that provides them with what appears to be an idyllic lifestyle. It truly is a land of plenty It was great to meet with people who have such a "joie de vivre" and a keen enjoyment of life. Rodders, Glenda and Barry gazing out to sea.......

Comet you should have been here this week. If you thought the weather was bad when you were here, this week it has been really cold and wet. We have had lots of rain, hail, snow , wind. The Cook Strait ferry has been canceled a few times from high seas and No 1 highway south of Christchurch had been closed by flooding. I see even in Australia they are having floods.
