I don't know whether he was actually born at night, but the shepherds definitely came to visit him at night. "Shepherds were watching their flocks by night" or whatever. And the angels say that He was "born this day", so it was at least that same day. And about the star: It seems that the Magi might not have really come the very night of Jesus' birth. I don't think anyone really knows for sure. And now we're getting slightly off-topic. Thanks for the video!

Oh, the guy with the finger just below his nose remained that way the ENTIRE time, most of the time with a sort of impish look on his face. At first his eyes kept turning towards his right. Then towards the end, he was glancing toward the left. It was almost like he was looking at other people and sharing a joke or something. I don't know why he'd want to do that on purpose! It certainly isn't a natural-looking, relaxing position!

Hi Libby,
I have an interesting article about the exact time and date of Jesus' birth. It would be off topic to post it here, so I will need to create a new thread for it. Look out for it.

Gosh, that was painful. For some reason my video editing software didn't like O Holy Night. I was trying to up the sound level, but in the result the sound came and went. I tried it several times to no avail. So I have had to upload the original file straight from the camera, which took ages. I hope it is OK. We all know about O Holy Night, the legendary highlight of so many of Hayley's Christmas concerts. And this one was no different.. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vfU9Hgj4lcJust watched it on YouTube. What a magnificent performance. It received a well deserved full standing ovation. I hope you can forgive the elementary photographic errors, trying to be too clever as usual. And the nature of concert photography is you never get a second chance, Martin D

Hi Martin What with one thing and another I've only just got round to watching your video's this evening - didn't want to have to rush them. I think they are all splendid but the last one "O Holy Night", well, I don't have words! Hayley just seems to be able to do with it what no one else can. That said, I believe Dublin and Bath were her best performances ever. Thanks again - well worth waiting for i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifGod bless Grant

Hi everyone, Many apologizes for not posting sooner, but since the concert I have been busy (on Holidays and Work) and since the snow seriously hampered my travel plans back to the UK on Monday, I have been playing catch up in the run up to christmas. I doubt I have anything to add to the reports previously posted other than to say that as this was my first christmas concert, I was completely blown away & I came away liking songs more than I had done on the WM CD. Of course it was fantastic to see Hayley again, Many Thanks to you again Grant & Hayley too:) I have taken some photos which can be found here* *Note: some have turn out better than othersIt was great meeting several members for the first time and seeing some of the more familiar ones. Thank you all for your kind comments about the videos, And I agree, nobody sings O Holy Night like Hayley. It is just so immensely inspiring to see, especially I think for those of us with a Christian faith. If I might be permitted to stray off topic for a moment (sorry mods), I was at the Leicester City v Sheffield United football match this evening, and during the half time interval, we were entertained by a young lady called Kirsty Anderson, 19 years old, from Hinckley. She sang the Theme from the Godfather, and O Holy Night. She has a voice that reminded me of Katherine Jenkins, and I have to say I was impressed. I think we might be hearing more of her in the future. Nicola, are you listening? Anyway, Grant, O Holy Night was not the last video of mine from Bath. I have uploaded another one tonight, and even that is not the last. This one is Sleigh Ride. Hayley seems to be enjoyong herself on this one, although I thik her arm was getting a bit tired from playing the sleigh bells by the end. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXUsRYHX9_wMartin D

You have truly out-classed me! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I think I will keep mainly to recording video's for future concerts - I took quite a few pictures at this concert, but none of them are any good - I keep them as a record of me attending it! A lesson for me to stick to video's.... Incidentally, I got a digital camera book for Christmas on how to basically take better pictures and learn more about the settings and how to use them - I will put it to good use! Thanks again! Cheers, Ben

Hi Ben,
I think I have had a bit more practice than you! My first attempts at concert videos were pretty dire, in fact so bad I wouldn't think of inclicting them on the world via YouTube, although I have surruptitiously uploaded some of them elsewhere and linked to them through HWI. I'm sure your efforts too will get better with practice. Every Hayley performance is a bit of history, and worth trying to record in my opinion.
And yes, I find with this camera I can often get a video where still pictures are all but impossible, for example in the candlelight at Peterborough, something that surprised me. Those with SLRs and the knowhow to use them will always have an advantage over compact camera users like you and I for still pictures.

I have just uploaded by final video from this concert. It has nothing to do with Christmas though! This is yet another song that nobody else on the planet performs as powerfully or as beautifully as Hayley. I Know You By Heart www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlt5_JK5XTIMartin D

Thanks for the videos, Martin D! They'll help to cheer us up during the winter while Hayley takes her well-deserved summer holiday in New Zealand. Best Wishes, Richard
