There seem to be some interesting patterns appearing here. Tell me if I'm wrong
1. UK members seem to go overwhelmingly for HSJS, with Treasure as the best international album. US members mostly prefer Pure. But HSJS is probably still undervalued because its limited availability means than many members have never heard it.
2. There is a long list of songs that we all love. Most people find it hard to pick a single favourite. Some songs do seem to appear in several peoples lists though. Nobody ecept me mentioned Prayer as a favourite album, although several mentioned "Listen to the Wind" as a favourite song (which means they either have Prayer or the New World Soundtrack album). Fr me though, the voice is more important than the song.
3. Her live performances are improving all the time. So most who have seen her recently go for a recent tour.
4. A new live DVD and a duets album with Jonathan would be well received.

1. Pure, because it brought the well deserved recognition to Hayley that she so richly deserved. Also because it featured the two native New Zealand songs.
2. This is a tough one; but I think I have to say Pokarekare Ana.
3. River of Dreams. Mostly because she did Wuthering Heights.
4. A new Hayley CD with snippets of each of Hayley's tours.

1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?
Treasure (Loved the song choices especially the obscure ones; Nice Hayley input on some songs & lyrics.
2. And do you have a favourite song?
Melancholy Interlude (Exquisite tune & performance; an element of mystery about Hayley's simple but sublime lyrics)
I Know You By Heart (is unrecorded but a current favourite from concerts).
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?
Valentines Tour (all that's good about 'Hayley' but with added value from Jonathan and the duets - wouldn't work with just 'anyone' though).
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?
A DVD video of a recent Hayley concert - something like Andy Moore's YouTube videos but of higher technical quality, with a camera operator or two and recorded direct from the sound system not the speakers. Not a "Live from NZ" blockbuster!

1. Pure - because all my favourites (at the moment) are on it
2. firstly Hine (current live version of the RoD tour), Wuthering Heights, Who Painted The Moon Black ?
3. Having only the choice between Valentines and RoD I'd opt for RoD - the quality (and quantity) of songs is simply overwhelming
4. DVD of a more recent concert than on the NZ DVD - perhaps the Belfast or Llandudno one; both were recorded, to my mind.

I suppose I should have a go at this!
1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?
All things considered, I have to vote for Pure because that was the album that got me hooked and will therefore always be meaningful. A great selection of songs which defined Hayley's ongoing style.
I am also inclined to favour the latest album, whichever that happens to be at the time.
2. And do you have a favourite song?
I have many favourites and many reasons for favouring them. If pressed, I have to say Pokarekare Ana. I also strongly favour Hine e Hine, Whispering Hope, Wuthering Heights, God Defend New Zealand, Summer Fly and many others.
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?
The Pure tour (2004) and the RoD tour (2008/09).
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?
A new DVD, a live CD and a calendar!
Thank you for the replies so far. I will forward them to Kathryn tomorrow evening but additional comments and preferences can be sent a few days later so please keep them coming.

Hi All, Many thanks to Hayley, Kathryn and the rest of Bedlam Management for being considerate enough to ask us (as Hayley supporters) to contribute our responses to these questions... Here are my personal responses: 1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?'Hayley Sings Japanese Songs'I love the eclectic mix of songs on this Album. We hear Hayley at her finest... It's wonderful to hear Hayley singing some versions of her songs in Japanese too - Learning Japanese can't be easy... Hayley really has made the extra effort here and has brought beaming smiles to our faces! My parents couldn't speak when I played some of Hayley's songs to them. Hayley's songs speak of reflection and hope. She sings these songs with such heartfelt emotion! 2. And do you have a favourite song? 'White Is The Colour'3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?The 'River of Dreams' Tour. Although each of Hayley's Tours have been special in their own unique way, the 'River of Dreams Tour' was the "dreamboat"!!! Hayley really shone, her voice sounded enriched and she never settled to give us second best! The contribution from 'Raven' really added a whole new dimension and a "fuller" sound. Absolutely wonderful! 4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?A Concert Programme/ Photobook. I collect these! Hayley Live DVDs/ audio CDs covering live footage from Hayley's Concerts.[/b] When is the next one due to be released? Please don't keep us waiting too long, will you? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt was my pleasure to provide these responses to your questions! Andrew

Can I make a special plea for the Mummers Dance. I love this song, and it was wonderful to hear her perform it on the ROD tour. But I especially liked the uptempo version performed with Dave Dobbyn (and Ian and Fiona) on the NZ tour last year. A professional quality recoding of that would be wonderful.

Fav Album? CT has songs that I knew years ago but I like her style in the 3 albums that I own. I would like to comment on her newer albums but until they get released here in the states they are too expensive to promote among the people that I share her music with. My favorite song is the one that I happen to be listening to at the time. The ones that I fall back to are My heart belongs to you and Sonny.
My favorite tour is the one she did in the US. OH thats right Oh well. I'm going to South end AND Swansea to see her this summer. I hope that she has time to say hello!!!!!!!!!
Hayley merchandise----Make sure that there is something that we can pick up that she can sign. Also any of her latest albums. Thanks Tom OOOOOO spell check!! Gotta like that

I'm a bit late, but I will weigh in on this.
1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why? For me, Pure & Odyssey are pretty well tied. Though some of my favorite Hayley songs come from Celtic Treasure & HSJS, when I think about each of the albums as a whole, Pure & Odyssey seem to blend pop & classical the best.
2. And do you have a favourite song? Another incredibly hard choice, but Listen to the Wind comes to mind immediately, so I'll go with that one.
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why? Unfortunately, I've only been able to see her once, and that was with Celtic Woman. It was a great show, but I'm sure I'd prefer seeing just her.
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be? As someone who rarely buys anything at concerts, not even programs, I consider this to be my most valuable answer: I would definitely buy a concert DVD.

1. Favourite Album - A tricky one this but I love Hayley Sings Japanese Songs, so many great songs on this one. 2. Favourite Song - Too many to choose from really but I love her new recordings of Songbird and Ave Maria, also The Mummers Dance is one I love to hear her sing at concerts. 3. Favourite Tour - Has to be the River of Dreams tour, great songs, fantastic performances from Hayley and a wonderful contribution from Raven 4. A live concert DVD! Thank you so much Hayley, Kathryn and Bedlam Management for taking the time to ask for our opinions, very much appreciated! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers David

1. Treasure is my favourite album as it has a mix me styles and Hayley's voice is so mature and rich, but still clear and pure. 2. My favourite song is probably let me lie with it's beautiful lyrics and nice sustained notes with a mixture between classical and folk. 3. I haven't been lucky enough to see Hayley on tour, however I imagine if I was to see her I'd like a mixture of styles included-i definitely don't want her changing her fashion style to be more revealing as has been mentioned before. 4. A new live dvd!! Also clothing-not cheesy with pictures of her on or anything but subtle like a logo with some musical symbols or pattern etc.

1. Tough choice but I love Treasure 2. my favourite song is probably either Majesty (at the moment,- it changes so much, every time i listen to one of her songs actually), or le notte del silenzio. 3. favourite tour...- well, i've only managed to go to see her during the Valentines Tour, which was absolutely fantastic... 4. A new DVD or some pictures, maybe autographed ones...

1. Very difficult, probably Pure, but i'll be a little different and suggest Hayley sings japanese songs. Ive heard bits of it and it sounds fantastic; ive got this feeling iam going to really love it....reckon an amazon import is on the cards! 2. I liked all of her songs from pure (an artists debut album i feel is usually the best anyway), but summer rain and let me lie were great, i cant go with any eva cassidy songs as i feel no artist can ever surpass her versions! 3. Ive only been to one concert, the river of dreams show in birmingham. 4. A behind the scenes DVD, perhaps incorporated into a new album. This is something that is reasonably cheap (it only requires guy + video recoder = result), but you cant beat a good t-shirt either!

1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?Pure is my favourite because it most of the material on it was new to me. It had original pieces in it, along with "standards" that were new to this country (such as the maori songs). It's an eclectic album, and that's what I like from my albums. 2. And do you have a favourite song? 'Dark Waltz' is my favourite. It's extremely atmospheric and I just adore the really high notes that really showcase the purity in Hayley's voice. Many singers high notes tend to be distorted. I also like 'Benedictus', again, the atmosphere, and 'Across the Universe of Time' for its feminine and fantastical lyrics. 3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?I don't know about the 'tours' as I tend to go to isolated concerts, but my favourite concert was her St James Church concert in London in September 2005 because of its intimacy. By the same token, I enjoyed her recent Valentine's Tour, also because of the theatre environment. 4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?I wouldn't buy any merchandise unless it's a special limited tour CD - some artists do that with a selection of rare B-sides, or rare promo CDs, etc. I'm only interested in music. I may buy the CD of the back up act. I almost always buy the concert programme if they are reasonably priced (about £5). I would never touch useless things like T-Shirts, Keyrings, mugs, etc. If I were a fanatic, I would probably go for signed lithographs. ONLY lithographs, because they are beautifully decorative. EDIT: Aww, I see I am a bit late. I guess that I never represent the majority of opinion anyway!
