1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?'Celtic Treasure', which contains nearly all of Hayley's most personal works. I fondly remember donating a CD to Celtic Heritage Magazine in Nova Scotia. 2. And do you have a favourite song? 'Sonny'. Hayley's best work full stop. A beloved favorite for UK concert-goers. 3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why? Has to be Hayley's last solo tour of the USA in 2005. Although most of it was cancelled, I did attend a rescheduled concert, and is still engraved in my mind 4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be? Definitely a program or a poster. Should Hayley come to America this year... CD's. They are not in stores over here. It's difficult to find even a just-released album.

1. Hayley Sings Japanese Songs as I love the way Hayley sings in this album. Blooming Flower was my favourite.
2. My favourite song is still Let Me Lie. (I hope Hayley writes more songs)
3. In Tune With Nature Feb 2008 in NZ. I loved the outdoor concerts, Dave Dobbyn, Fiona Pears and Ian Tilley were great.
4. Another DVD would be great or a duet CD with Jonathan.

Gosh, this is more difficult than "Mastermind". Anyway, here are the results from Buckinghamshire:
1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?
My head chooses Pure since it was this album that defined and launched Hayley internationally.
(However, my heart says HSJS)
2. And do you have a favourite song?
May It Be
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?
ROD since it contains a wonderful mix of the old and the new. In my opinion a defining time for a "new" musical direction.
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?
Has to be something that you can't purchase through normal outlets so I go for the tour brochure

First of all, I'd like to say "Thank you" to Kathryn and Bedlam for giving us this opportuity to answer these questions and I hope our responses will be useful.
1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why? Without a doubt "Hayley Sings Japanese Songs" I think because it is closest to how Hayley sounds live now - Hayley's voice just seems to get better and better each time I hear her. My favourite track is "I Am A Thousand Winds". I still love, and play, all of Hayley's other albums regularly.
2. And do you have a favourite song? I don't think there is a song that Hayley sings that I don't like! Favourites change through time "Hine" has to be high on the list as it is the song that led me to discover Hayley, I would also pick out "Quanta Qualia" and "Melancholy Interlude". My absolute favourite though is "I Know You By Heart"
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why? Difficult this one, as I've been to both Valentines and River of Dreams concerts and think Hayley is stunning when duetting with the right partner. However, I have to say River of Dreams, essentially because of the mix of songs, but also because of the sheer delight of seeing Hayley so obviously having a great time on stage with her fantastic musicians. The happiness they generate is very infectious and a joy to be part of.
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be? As an avid collector of anything Hayley related, it would have to be something concert specific that couldn't be obtained anywhere else. Programmes or even photo books are excellent memento's maybe even a few items of tour clothing - teeshirts, baseball caps, that sort of thing.
I would also love to see another live concert DVD!
Best wishes Grant

1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why? My favorite album is "Pure" because the songs were beautiful and it had a distinct sound from other crossover albums. 2. And do you have a favourite song? The Vocalise version of "Pokakekare Ana" is stunning. 3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why? I loved when Hayley came to the states, because I had a chance to hear her live. 4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be? I would prefer CD's or DVD's

This is very difficult! 1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?I love all the albums, I choose "Hayley Sings Japanese Songs" and in second place "Treasure" because I like all the tracks and these are the ones that I play most of the times! 2. And do you have a favourite song?I can't pick just one! I know you By Heart, Blooming Flower, I Believe, Time Goes Around, Summer Rain, Le Notte de Silencio, Let Me Lie, Sonny, Santa Lucia, Bist Du Bei Mir, Quanta Qualia. 3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?I can not answer that because I never attended a concert. 4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?Programs, Posters, CD's and DVD's, a new DVD would be awesome, at least a DVD with some videos to promote the next album, as they are doing on HSJS2 in Japan! 1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?Hayley Sings Japanese Songs by a whisker from both Treasure and Pure tying in second place. 2. And do you have a favourite song? This is even more difficult. Listen to the Wind probably edges it from Never Saw Blue, I Believe and Let Me Lie, though I could probably produce a list of 50 songs that I would find it difficult to choose between 3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?River of Dreams - it's the most recent one! And I especially like the song list on this tour, though the most memorable single concert for me was Buxton just before Hayley's 21st. 4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?All promotional items, but a new DVD and a live CD would be my top choices. Kind regards Colin

Roger, I posted this on the Official Forum so that the members there have the fair chance of participating, as well. So, I will post each member's response one by one.
Starting with:
Suvi from Finland:
"Here comes my answers:
1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?
Pure, just because of the beautiful performance of Benedictus by my favourite composer Karl Jenkins. I have favourites on all of Hayley's albums but this is the best one.
2. And do you have a favourite song?
Yes, many! Benedictus, Dark Waltz, Across The Universe Of Time, E Pari Ra, Pokarekare Ana, Summer Rain, Bridal Ballad, Bist Du Bei Mir, Whispering Hope, Ave Maria (Caccini), The Mists Of Islay, Laudate Dominum, Quanta Qualia, In Trutina, Beat Of Your Heart...
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?
Unfortunately I live in Finland so I have not been able to see Hayley live as yet...
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?
Hayley shirts, CDs, sheet music books, posters, her autobiography book.
Suvi"

Definitely Odyssey. There's something about that album that just resonates with me so much. I think every song is perfect, and very mature. Every time I have an exam, I stick that in the CD player! 2. Gosh, do I have to decide between Prayer and Listen to the Wind? Well I can't. 3. Well I've only been to the one tour with Dave Dobbyn, so I'll give that a big tick! I know that one is a favorite anyway. 4. Hmmm, well, I would probably buy a poster or a t-shirt, simply because I would want Hayley to sign it so I can frame it. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDori

1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?
Probably RofD because it brings other highlights together. Then probably Pure for its emotiveness as being her first international. Maybe, because I have not yet played it but respect the reports of those who have, one or other of her Japanese CDs and preferably with her singing in Japanese.
2. And do you have a favourite song?
Very difficult, as she sings so diveresely and so wonderfully. Pokarekare Ana tops everything because of her voice and the theme. Other songs because of their theme, then it is because Hayley is singing. Her emotive interpretation is wonderful.
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be? The latest CD to save me remembering to take it with me if there is to be a signing. Anything (such as the Japanese CDs) intended for elsewhere, to make it easier to get hold of them. For those concerts she does in isolation from a 'tour', a programme even if it's only an A5 2pp single leaf in black and white run off a word processor. One suspects this is as much to do with her desire to make her mind up at the last moment, so the artist's wishes are accepted!
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why? Hayley could sing anything and I would follow. The Valentine's tour was superb but only because the voices matched so well and the performers seemed to respect, enjoy and match each other with such superb balance. Without that anyone else with her would be irritating. She can hold an evening on her own (but does need someone like Raven) so why bring anyone else in unless she can repeat what she did with Ansell. What is key is quality. Quallity is the all that means the standard of Raven as the accompaniment, probably Tim (with Valentine's?) as the best pianist so far and the guitarist used on Valentine's. Both on RoD and Valentine's they had superb sound technicians. These are as important as the performers. The key to both these tours was their unquestioned excellence in every aspect of theatre, as well as Hayley's continued expansion of talent.

1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why?
"Hayley Sings Japanese Songs". Her most mature work to date. A great collection of songs lifted to an even higher level by her voice and interpretation.
2. And do you have a favourite song?
Too many to list. And also my favourites change from time to time. My current favourite must be "I Know You By Heart". I hope she'll include it on her next international album!
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why?
I haven't been on a Hayley concert yet, so I can't answer this question.
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be?
A new live DVD or CD.

1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why? Definitely Treasure. It is Hayley's most personal album. It is also her most traditional/classical, which is the type of music I prefer.
2. And do you have a favourite song? I think that Shenandoah will always be special to me, just because that was the first Hayley song I heard. And I do think that her voice is well suited to American folk music.
3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why? Unfortunately, I've never seen Hayley live. Hopefully, that will change soon.
4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be? I would buy either CDs or DVDs and have her sign it afterward.

1. Celtic Treasure. HSJS may actually be better musically, but was not released in the US.
2. Dark Waltz. Summer Fly is a dark horse as well.
3. I have never seen Hayley live.
4. A concert ticket

1. What has been your favourite album of Hayley's so far? And why? HSJS. I really like all the tracks and perhaps because the style is a little more homogeneous on this CD, when I'm in the mood for this type of music (which is a lot of the time), all the tracks are something I feel like listening to at the moment. 2. And do you have a favourite song? Several from HSJS (except I'm not sure what the English names are!), I believe, Listen to the Wind, Summer Rain, The Water is Wide, Across the Universe of Time (whew...that's a lot ) 3. What has been your favourite tour of Hayley's so far? And why? Never been to one...perhaps if she were able to tour the US.... 4. If you could choose anything to buy merchandise wise on Hayley's tours - what would it be? Something I could only get at a live concert, probably programmes, posters, or clothing specific to the tour.
