Hello all, Tinmeigut and my copies arrived today. I have watched the DVD and am listening to the CD now. I can confirm that the DVD is region-free, so it can be played on all DVD players. Best, Raymond

Well, Grant and Joyce, I think you will find that it will be worth waiting for. Unlike other Hayley albums, I found it has taken a few listens to get to grips with, but now its true beauty is now shining through. It is GORGEOUS, and as Colin said, seems very personal in places. But it has a very different feel to HSJS1, even though the basic "formula" is much the same. I bet Jill was in floods of tears when she heard it. It even made me cry, and I have no experience of motherhood or mother-daughter relationships, being a bloke.

My copies (both with and without DVD) arrived on Friday from CDJapan. The service seems to be very quick as it's only a couple of days from when they emailed me to say they had shipped the parcel. The single which was sent the week before was just as fast arriving. I was fortunate enough not to get stung by customs charges on either package Great album. I think I prefer it to the first Japanese album but will have to play the earlier album again now. I am glad they have used different images on the cover of the 'standard' version compared to the 'special' as it makes it even more worthwhile having both Hope those people waiting receive their copies soon

These three posts have been moved from 'Hayley Sings Japanese Songs (2008)'. Thanks Richard, great news!
I think it's a couple of places below where HSJS1 entered the chart but this one got off to a slower start and is currently at no. 11 in the daily charts so it might be able to climb in next week's chart!
The Oricon charts website still shows last week's chart, the new one doesn't usually go up until later on Tuesday so Decca must have got inside information and for once, they actually shared it with us! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
Cheers, Dave Hi Richard and Dave, Good news indeed Hayley also mentions it in her Blog on the official site.
Best Wishes,
Graham Congratulations Hayley - it looks like you've done it again!

I'm still waiting!! No HSJS2 for me yet My copy has been sitting in a warehouse in Milton Keynes for almost four days. I suspect that the Parcel Force staff have been playing it to the local Japanese population. Now that I have paid my VAT (and other charges) I expect to see it tomorrow. This never happened with HSJS1.

Just got my LE copy in from HMV, a lot faster than I thought! They shipped it on the 12th (but sat there in Tokyo until the 13th) and got here today at 10:00 in the morning.

This never happened with HSJS1. Sounds like a repetition of what happened to me. Seems the advice to address it as a gift to yourself may be the best solution. Its the import process and the vagaries of customs and excise procedures that causes the problem. Peter S.

On first listening I wasn't sure about it, but repeating listenings are making me like it more and more. It does feel different from the first album, in places almost melancholic, but the beauty does shine through - and her voice is outstanding. Kind regards Colin

Finally got a chance to listen to it and I have to be brutally honest, I was a bit disappointed. Then again, it may be unfair since HSJS1 was epic. The only songs that I didn't like were Amazing Grace and Tsubasa wo kudasai. Everything else was beyond amazing.
HSJS2 has quite a few gems in there but it just didn't hit me as hard as the first one did. I felt that, as the album progressed, the better it got. Definitely took some warming up to and I'm sure I'll like it a lot more as time goes on.
An interesting thing I've read on HMV is that supposedly she is going to move onto pop. Can't say I'm thrilled since what drew me to Hayley in the first place were her classical/folk songs but then again I understand why she is doing it. I think about other performers I admire (Bocelli comes to mind) and he, for example, does pop/easy listening so I suppose we're just going to have to see what happens next.
