I always thought that was cricket. A gentle sun, decent deck-chair, well-cut grass, ladies chatting and a Pimm's No.1. beside me. Howzat? Hi Peter I don't much care for cricket either I'm afraid, but at least the cricketing fraternity don't ram their sport down your throat all the time like the other lot!! Best wishes Grant

Anyone watching else watching Chelsea v. Stoke City football match ? WOW...that was one of the best match finishes I've seen in the Premier League. Stoke were up one goal to about the 85th minute when Chelsea scored the equalizer. Chelsea later then scored in the 2nd minute of stoppage time to win! Hi Joe, Yes it was almost as good as Arsenal v Spurs recently. Arsenal were 4-2 in the 90th minute and Spurs scored two in 3 minutes to make it 4-4 Best Wishes, Graham

- we cannot watch the 3pm Saturday kick-offs live on TV, here in the UK, we have to wait until the recorded highlights are played later in the evening. it makes me really mad that we cannot watch live UK football on UK TV at 3pm pm Saturday afternoons - but the rest of the World can!!!! Hi Dave, If you look around on the net now most matches are available live ... and for free Graham

My (second) son and my daughter's boyfriend both support Tottenham Hotspur, currently bottom of the premiership, so there is no hope for them! Not any longer but it is still very tight Graham

Many years ago I had been out for the day, a Saturday, with friends and we had returned to Derby with the intention of going for a Chinese meal. The Shing Do was a favourite in those days. Well, as we walked towards the restaurant, we came across a chap standing on the pavement reading the "Green Un" (that was our local Saturday sports paper in those days and it was printed on green paper, hence the name.) One of my so called friends suggested I asked this chap how Derby had gone on today and I fell for it hook line and sinker and asked the question. "Seven o'clock on a Sat'dy nait and thee don't no how Derby's dun!!?" was the reply I got. My friends, of course were already in the Shing Do laughing their heads off! Hi Grant, Yes it must have been many years ago. Most matches with tv and Europe are now on Sunday or Monday ! Graham

Well, it is a matter of opinion. It all depends on what you were brought up with, and what you played in your youth. In my school it was always soccer. Yes, I loved cricket perhaps more than any other game, but was not very good at it to be honest, and it was not encouraged at my school anyway. The problem with games has always been the physical dimension. At rugger (and American football) you need to be built like a tank, at basketball ten feet tall. If you are small and quick, soccer is your only hope, although even there, bulk is useful. And perhaps cricket, all about hand and eye co-ordination. Trouble is, I never had much of that, only fast reactions. So I was a goalkeeper, wicket keeper and played badminton.

I'm going to name the product this time CREATIVEExpensive products that are probably quite good , If you can figure out how to use them without even basic instructions. They just don't believe in manuals, an instructional DVD would only cost them I mean us the consumers a few cent extra on top of the cost of each units (MP3 Players, sound cards etc.) I got a DEMO disc with a sh1t hot sound card and all it does is try to sell more of their un-useable junk. A simple demonstration of the software and hardware in use in video form would remove hours of frustration and wasted discs and recordings. My techie son tells me the software is intuitive, My aris, Where the **** is my cassette deck ? I suppose we should be grateful they don't make airplanes........ " don't mind those 300 switches up over your head, ye don't need a manual, they are all intuitive switches and you'll get the hang of those levers after a while too........"

FRONT FOG LIGHTS on cars No indicator on the drivers dashboard to show they are ONThey advertise cars now by telling you it has a USB socket or a 3.5mm jack input for your MP3 player as if that is more important than safety. Just occasionally designers should be "Taken out and SHOT"

Car designers have a great responsibility to their clients and all road users. They SHOULD be held responsible for their work or LACK of it !

Some years ago almost all headlights were at about the same height from the ground ( About 20 inches or 500mm ) Busses, trucks and average cars, I happily assumed this was regulation height. Obviously I was wrong, as we all can now see. Certain vehicles now have THEIR headlights at the average saloon drivers eye level. The Land Rover in particular with it's intense blue headlights are particularly irritating and offensive with an " I'm alright Jack attitude " The old Land Rover lights were so useless it didn't matter what height they were mounted at. Also many newer model vans have their headlights at heights exceeding 40 inches off the ground, right in the faces of the other 90% of road users. Oh No ! I'm turning into Victor Meldrew from One foot in the grave en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Foot_in_the_Grave

Well, my car has both front and rear foglights. Both should be used sparingly, and certainly NEVER if it isn't foggy. Rear foglights might be useful in thick fog, but should be switched off if ever another vehicle can be seen in your mirrors. Follow a car with rear fogs on for a few miles, and you are effectively blind! This is quite apart from the stupidity of a design that has the same coloured lights on the back of cars serving three different purposes, and differing only in intensity (sidelights, brake lights and foglights are all red). Front foglights are designed to be used in place of headlights in thick fog, and being lower will avoid the glare that comes back from headlights in fog.. They are even less useful than rear foglights, since they should only be used in very thick fog and at night. My car is so designed that I cannot switch on the rear fogs unless I first switch on the front ones. Crazy or what?
