firstly thank you all for replying to my first post, its nice to meet you all, especially some guy named Roger...I've heard lots of good things about him, hopefully will meet him at Hayley's next concert..lol... HMV signing was great, Hayley bringing some much needed talent to the rock and pop department. There was a huuuugee queue for autographs, and Hayley still found time after to come and chat to us with her genuine warmth and kindness even though she was clearly very busy that day. Looking forward to the church tour! I dropped a hint to Hayley and Steve to come down to Christchurch, Dorset, but I got a feeling the Church tour dates are already set. Maybe a one off one day???

Hello Paul! It's good to see your second post, and it was even better seeing you at HMV on Tuesday! I totally agree with you that Hayley brought some rare talent to the ground floor. Most of the real quality performers live in the basement, where you can find Hayley's CDs and DVD! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifChristchurch Priory would make a lovely setting for one of Hayley's concerts, so keep on hinting! See you again soon, Richard

Hi Paul, it was nice to meet you again...this time at HMV. A big big welcome to the forum from me, too! I'm glad you pursued the Christchurch thing as I reminded Gerald last week that the Radio Solent presenter suggested to Hayley that she should visit Christchurch Dorset, 'just down the road' from the Southampton radio studio. Gerald admitted that unfortunately, they hadn't had time to do so... but we must keep plugging away! Roger, I know someone else who I've met more times than he's posted... it's Chris, who we also met at HMV! In fact, he only joined the forum yesterday (as promised) and so far hasn't posted at all So... welcome to the forum Chris... and we can't wait to hear from you! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave

glad you all liked the idea about Christchurch priory, its a beautiful place, and it would be great maybe for Hayley too as she is of course from the same name in New Zealand.
Yes its true Roger has seen more of me in real life than in the forum, but I wont say anymore about that in case people start to gossip.....the rumours are not true!..lol
Hope you had a good time in Cardiff Keith!

went into local HMV today and saw Hayley was in the top 30 rock & pop album charts! which I think is fantastic for a 'classical' album....maybe Hayley should do more appearances in the rock dept of HMV!
And yes that IS Bryn Terfel behind me and Hayley in my photo!....I didnt know he was there when the pic was taken, too pleased top see Hayley to notice!.......cheeky of Bryn though, trying to get in on my photo...I dunno, he will do anything to be seen with me!...tut tut...I have told him before!!.................LOL

Hehehe, lucky to be so close to him. If I got that close to Bryn I'd snag an autograph for Holly. I bet she'd love one if she hasn't one already.

Huh! I once stood shoulder to shoulder with Bryn but, in those days, I didn't know Holly was a fan. Come to think of it, in those days, I didn't even know Holly. Roger

Actually I don't know if Holly is a fan or not, but I do know he is Welsh and so is she, and so I would get her something in the hopes she would like it. I saw operatic tenor Ben Heppner in concert, and he was signing CDs afterward, so I picked up a copy of his Mario Lanza-esque CD "My Secret Heart" and had him sign it for Holly, since her inspiration was Mario Lanza. I had Hayley sign a pic of her and Holly togetehr when I first met her, since it was before she and Holly would meet again and sing together, and I had Katherine Jenkins sign an enlargement of a picture I took of her for Holly, again, because she's Welsh as well, with an inspirational message for Holly. Daniel Rodriguez was also kind enough to pose with me and Holly in Philadelphia and I had him sign 2 of that picture, one for me and one for Holly.
Holly has thanked me profusely for all of these things, though alas, we haven't had a chance to discuss them. Apparently the Ben Heppner CD was a big hit, though, for Trixie said Holly's face opened in a very broad smile when she put it on and listened to it through her earphones.
I've gotten stuff signed for other folks too, a copy of Pure for Claire, one of Russell Watson's CDs for Crystal, and so forth. The fun is in the acquisition of the autograph, not the keeping of it, and if I can bring a little more happiness into someone's life with a favor like this, so much the better.
