Hi folks, I have just heard on the radio that Hayley is due to fly back to New Zealand tomorrow. She will be appearing in Wellington on 2nd July. Whether she will actually get back to Christchurch for a few days is not known. I just called this thread "Hayley flies home" in the hope that she does for her sake. Have a safe journey, Hayley. See you when you return. Roger

Hi Lothar, I am sure that this will be braodcast on British TV so, we will get the troops on board and make sure this is captured. If the last time is anything to go by, we might be able to hear Hayley but, most of it is likely to show the faces of the players and the crowd. Wo wants to look at them when we could be watching Hayley as she sings? Keith.

In Germamy, some weeks ago we had a shame at a soccer game: The "Lady" who was singing the national hymn has forgotten the text cu Lothar

I will be recording the entire match (thunderstorms permitting, today was horrendous) but don't expect me to be up and about until later in the day i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Then, I'll know if they showed Hayley or not... but Belinda said above that Hayley won't be singing there Still, the match is in... Christchurch... so you never can tell

Enter answer here............ i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt would be a big surprise if she turned up at tomorrows match. It would be a quick dash from the airport if it is. Is Hayley still singing at next weeks match on the 2nd of July in Wellington?? Talking about thunderstorms we had a bad day here in Dublin too and its after tunred bad again tonight, just in time for U2's home coming concerts which start tonight and they are outdoors, although I better not jinx myself, especially as Kenwood House is outdoors. Bye, Emmett

Well, June 29 is some special day. It is also the birthday of Katherine Jenkins (1980) and Becky Taylor (1988). And on that day the world's oldest (proven) person will turn 117. She is a very elderly Dutch lady (born 1888 - exactly 100 years older than Becky). Is there something about June 29?

It's a pity Hayley didn't sing (I'm watching the match as I write!!!) but at least it should mean she can have an even more relaxing time at home 'Twas Shaun Dixon who sang before the start, but you will know that by now! NZ leading 11-0 after 35 minutes, and it's chucking it down with rain ...

According to my Boosey & Hawkes Music Diary, Hayley shares her birthday with our own Lesley Garrett and another English Soprano, Sarah Leonard. Actually Hayley isn't listed, so I'll have to write and point out their omission! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard
