Martin, it's a longshot, but there is just a chance that your fantasy might become reality.! Let's hope so Roger. Also, I would have thought that an audio version would open a whole new marketing opportunity without affecting book sales. It could be sold online as a download thus reaching a whole new audience who are unable to (or do not want do) purchase the hard copy. Martin

Hello Martin, Roger and everyone The idea of a 'Hayley read' audio book sounds awesome. She has such a sweet voice which, I believe, would come over beautifully and I can't wait to hear how this progresses. With Bedlam and HWI in favour of it, how can Hayley refuse? . Also, it probably wouldn't require as much talking as Hayley had to do to get it written in the first place! Oh! Wait a minute! Didn't someone suggest a DVD? If they can make an audio recording, they could do a video at the same time. Just a thought. Going now!! Grant

That's an interesting idea. And though it would require a lot of talking she wouldn't have to do it all at once. In fact it's like recording an album where you can take breaks and do bits at a time (and over again if need be).

Hi Everybody,
The idea of an audio version of the book with Hayley reading it herself is fantastic. It would be very interesting if that happened.

Maybe there can be videos and pictures on the DVD over which Hayley can talk? Video footage of her early shows for the early chapters, maybe some footage recreating the infamous Japanese hotel scene and of course guest appearances by HWI at the appropriate moment in the book. Hi Everyone! First of all Thank you for your welcome! I find this to be a great site but it is about a Great person...What more can be said!!!
Can someone please answer this? (if I missed the post elsewhere sorry)...In Hayleys' book on page 80 she talks about the song "Benedictus"...quote; "...It's one of the few pieces from my albums that I've never performed live and it's still something that I would love to do." However, she did that song live on her dvd tv special "Live from NZ" So I really did not understand that remark. Please anyone that can clear that up for me? Thank You, Howard

Hi Howard, You are, of course, absolutely correct in saying that 'Benedictus' appears on the DVD which was recorded live in Wellington. I therefore don't understand the comment in the book. I wonder if she meant she has never performed it live in a *normal* concert; that event being a television special. Oh well, I suppose she knew what she meant at the time! Roger PS. Perhaps she hasn't seen the DVD!

Hello Howard (welcome!) and Roger, Perhaps Hayley considers that as a TV production over two days, with an (at least partially) invited audience and the possibility of retakes and remixes etc., that it was more akin to a studio recording than a live concert recording? That's my take on it, anyway. Cheers, Dave

Is it possible that it was recorded in the theatre, but not with the audience present? I can't remember if we see the audience during that sequence, but it is possible to make most thinks appear to be something they're not! Best wishes Grant
