Hi guys, Hayley's new biography is entitled 'Hayley Westenra: In Her Own Voice'. LOVELY! It is published by Virgin Books and will be available for sale on 25 Oct 2007 in hardcover. Very best wishes, Stephany i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt's fascinating that a book about Hayley could be published at only age 20. I don't know that I would consider it a biography, because she is still so young. But the book will probably tell a lot about her influences and what this individual has accomplished in just a few short years. The publishing itself is perhaps also indicative of the desire and demand for information by the readers. The book would not be published if there were not a high level of interest. I think that this strong demand for knowledge about Hayley is fueled by the type of person and inspiration that she is. Everyone simply loves the young lady with the beautiful voice.

In my opinion, there is no doubt that they will start the biography (autobiography?) at the very beginning of Hayley's life/career and not at the end of 'The World at Her Feet'. They could have done this book supposing that the reader is already aware of Hayley Westenra's incredible first steps in the music industry but I very much doubt it. I sincerely hope that it will bring new readers and new fans. The synopsis provided by Amazon confirms more or less what I thought. Best wishes, Stephany

Hi Stephany
Whilst there is no doubt that there will be a synopsis of Hayley's early years, I don't think the intention will be to repeat what has already been said.
I can't remember Steve's actual words, but it was something along the lines of ... "THe trouble is, Paul's book finishes at the release of Pure and a lot has happened since then!"
Love Grant

A perhaps inadvertent question raised there, Gene? Are you not aware of The World At Her Feet the first biography published by Penguin when she was 15! In Her Own Voice is Volume 2! BUT, harping back to my opening, I certainly (anyone esle?) assumed this would be Volume 2 carrying on from where The World At Her Feet ended. But not necessarily so. The World At Her Feet was a biography. In Her Own Voice could cover the same ground but 'in her own words' and entirely from her perspective, then carry on to now. 'Volume 2' need not necessarily carry on from where The World At Her Feet ended. Peter S.

Interesting point Peter. I hadn't looked at it from that perspective. However, considering Steve's comments, my guess is that it will at least concentrate on Hayley's later career. Off to Chichester now so probably off topic as well! Best wishes Grant

Hello everybody! I'm really looking forward to this book, which is going to be a fascinating read. I wonder if HWI will get a mention? I should point out that Hayley's first biography The World At Her Feet was published in October 2004, when she was 17. Best Wishes, Richard

Love Grant I see - thank you very much for the information, Grant. A lot has indeed happened since the release of 'Pure' and they will probably have to 'concentrate' on certain events and skip others. A very difficult task awaits Mr Henley, that's for sure! Peter also makes a very interesting point. I don't know if it's an indication or not but this book has 248 pages and 'The World at her Feet' had 199 pages. On top of that, the first biography was a paperback so we can assume that the new book is going to be pretty longer. Good for us! Do you think they will mention HWI again? What a thrill that would be! Edit: Richard posted it before me!! Very best wishes, Stephany

Hi Stephany Thanks for the find I love the front cover I'm just so surprised that the book is out so early. As you say Grant, I won't rush to buy one on-line, I'll wait to see if Hayley does a signing anywhere - it was going to be a Christmas present - oh well, it will have to be an early one i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI also wondered if she will mention HWI in the book. Hayley has said on many occasions that her fans are very important to her and when you think about the close involvement, support, after concert meetings etc. HWI, along with other fans, surely registers as a part of Hayleys life to date - therefore, I would think a mention is quite likely. Perhaps my thinking of her being 15 is relate to teh age at which The World At Her Feet stopped? Peter S.

Referring to post #25, Mark HERE I suspect she may pay tribute to Keith and possibly--depending at what stage the book was at the time of his death, Simon too. Possibly, as it ensured contoinuity, Roger and Dave. Beyond that I suspect she might feel awkward at where else to stop if not there?
