Hello Mark! Somehow I doubt if Hayley will have any special signing sessions just for the book, but I don't know for certain. I'm quite sure she will be happy to sign it for you or anybody at one of her concerts. Best Wishes, Richard

Hello Marianne! I think Hayley has had more of a personal input with this book than 'The World At Her Feet', but it probably won't count as an autobiography. That is a great picture of Hayley with the Dalai Lama in your avatar, but if he decides to join the forum... Actually I think you're safe, because he surely would have joined by now! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifLove, Richard

Hi everyone.
I was meandering through this thread to check if we had already posted something I have been meaning to post for some time. We appear not to have done.
However, first, I came across a discussion on the nature of 'ghost writing', to which I thought it relevant to add the following.
From the 'Journalology of Science Publishing Trends, Ethics, Peer Review and Open Access' I found the following definition of 'ghost writing'.
"In publishing, there are the concepts of ghost and gift authors. Usually, a ghost author is someone who contributed to a piece of work, but is left uncredited, and a gift author is someone who is listed as an author without making the necessary contributions. Both gift and ghost authorship are quite common. The inclusion of a deceased author gives a whole new meaning to the term "ghost author". The American Geophysical Union explicitly allows inclusion of deceased authors, but this is dependent upon them meeting the authorship criteria and approving of submission.
Interesting and vaguely amusing?
Then Richard in reply 23 and Stephany reply 24 ponders on whether HWI would be mentioned and any individuals. I (somewhere) suggested Roger/Richard/Dave might be but then other views interjected (including Roger's) that mentioning names could be difficult and that perhaps incidents in which individuals might recognise themselves would be mentioned.
I subsequently realised I had forgotten one significant name which could be mentioned without a problem but certainly the product--the Westenra Tartan initiative of Andrew.
Then, of course, there is the Hayley Westenra Rose.
I feel sure there will be colour plates and surely pictures of each of those two items will apppear?

Hi everyone, here's hoping for a big seller of Hayley's book, looking forward to reading it when it is released here in NZ.
Does anybody have any dates regarding the international release or is it UK only?

Hello Rodders! I think you're confusing Hayley's book with the new 'West Side Story' album. The book is due to be published on 25th October 2007, while 'West Side Story' is available as a download from yesterday. Best Wishes, Richard
