Hi guys, Hayley's new biography is entitled 'Hayley Westenra: In Her Own Voice'. LOVELY! It is published by Virgin Books and will be available for sale on 25 Oct 2007 in hardcover. Pre-order it now on Amazon.co.uk! I love the cover - it's one of my favourite Hayley shots. Very best wishes, Stephany i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifEdit by Roger on 30th October 2008: If you have not yet read the book, you may prefer to avoid this thread as, inevitably, a few "secrets" are likely to be revealed.

WOW Stephany!!
I also love the cover photograph. Now I'm getting very excited and can't wait to get hold of a copy!!
It's interesting though, because when Steve Abbott broke the news about the book at Telford, I'm sure he said it wouldn't be available until December.
I won't order a copy yet as Hayley might just do a signing somewhere on the release date. We shall have to wait and see, but the date is already in my diary.
Love Grant

I won't order a copy yet either. Hopefully Hayley will be around the UK in October It's so fantastic that the book is a hardcover. More expensive, sure, but so much better than a paperback!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifStephany

If you were thinking of the latter (perish the thought!!! ) don't use a "biro" pen!!! Andrew

It is clearly stated that the book's author is Hayley Westenra (although Darren's Henley name is also mentioned). It should be extremely interesting to have her point of view and see how she looks back on her career. Gosh - I'm talking as if she was at the end of her career and she's only 20!!! Andrew, hardcovers are more durable! It's better for items I want to keep i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHowever, I don't really see myself reading it in the Parisian metro Best wishes, Stephany PS : Yay for Federer! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Not yay for Venus who beat a French

It seems therefore that Darren Henley is actually 'writing' the book, but using Hayley's words. Grant

Hi Stephany, I guess Darren Henley must have edited down all the material which Hayley provided- thereby making him a co-author... I suppose (from mere speculation) that the book is perhaps an autobiography but has been labelled as a biography due to Darren's input. Who knows? I guess Hayley will tell us all in due course! I'm really looking forward to reading this! Andrew

The publisher relying on the spine and back cover for therr identity? It's a superb cover. Clean crisp typography and a very lovely picture. Peter S.

Thanks Andrew & Grant for the information. I googled Darren Henley's name and, from what I read, he's the managing editor of Classic FM. He also writes regularly for Classic FM magazine. That would explain his writing skills and his knowledge of classical music in general. He also wrote Aled Jones' autobiography[/url] for the same publisher two years ago. Aled & Mr Henley were considered as 'co-authors' and I suppose it will be the same with Hayley. See below : Best wishes, Stephany

Quite so, Stephany. My one regret about the original biography was the fact that it was only ever published as a paperback. Thanks for finding the information so well in advance of the publication date. Roger
