Greetings from London! I've got a strong opinion on this one.
I'm definitely going to buy Hayley's biography as soon as it's available in the UK, because I would like to know more about her early years now. I'm 38 years older than Hayley, so I don't want to wait too long to catch up on her past history. Also Hayley's story will give inspiration and encouragement to other young singers and musicians hoping for a show business career, like Holly Holyoake.
I think "Hayley Westenra - A Dream Come True" would be a better and more appropriate title, not only as a reference to her remarkable success, but also because Hayley is a dream come true for all her fans!
I'm pleased to see that Hayley isn't trying to claim the book as her autobiography, further proof that she's genuine. I'm not going to say it, but anybody who saw a recently-repeated documentary on Channel 4 will be able to read between the lines there.
Bye for now,
Richard Norrington

Hi Robin, This is not the first time I have heard of such problems when dealing with a third party through Amazon. Unfortunately, the supply problem is beyond Amazon's jurisdiction. Although, if the book is still being advertised on Amazon's page from the same retailer, you could always try complaining to Amazon about it. That is why I believe it best to order online direct from New Zealand retailers. Personally, I have a friend in New Zealand who bought the book for me and then sent it over. I paid for it, of course. Keith.

I enquired today at my local (and highly reputable) bookshop only to be told that the publication date is 28th April 2005. Can anyone confirm this please? Hello Roger and everybody, According to HMV, Hayley's biography is due to be released in the UK on 28th April 2005, price £9.99, and it can be pre-ordered now. I will be very surprised if it is on sale at Olympia on 20th March, but miracles do happen occasionally! Bye for now, Richard

Hello folks! I saw and met Hayley at Olympia last month, Hayley celebrated her 18th birthday last Sunday, and her DVD was released last Monday. Now it's time to remember that her biography, written by New Zealand journalist Paul Little, is due to be published here in the UK on 28th April 2005. Only 15 days to go, and counting! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm going to Queen Victoria's country retreat on the Isle of Wight tomorrow, but I'll be back on line on Friday morning. Who said "We are not amused"?!!! Bye for now, Richard

Tomorrow...28th April...don't forget to get Hayley's biography at your local bookshop! Anyone pop in recently for any adverts at all? Have a recce and see if the book is stocked better than the DVD. Note to admin...you may wish to edit the above subject line to remove the "coming soon" bit to "now out in the UK" or something . Thanks for editing that Hayley in Ghana post. I wanted it corrected and you beat me to it! Thanks

Thank you for the reminder Joe! I'll be on the lookout for the biography tomorrow, so watch this space! On second thoughts, watch Hayley's DVD instead! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif (I know I've used that one before, but somebody might have missed it!) Hello folks! Hayley's biography, "Hayley Westenra - The World at Her Feet", written by Paul Little and published by Penguin, is now available in the UK, price £12.99. I was going to look for it yesterday, the day it was due to be published, so I was very surprised to find two copies in Books Etc at Wimbledon on Wednesday evening. I bought one and started reading it as soon as I got home. I found the book so interesting I couldn't put it down until I finished it, some four hours later! There are no big revelations, just as I expected, but Hayley's story is fascinating, and her fans of all ages will enjoy reading it. I particularly like the photograph of Hayley in her dressing room at the London Palladium. This must have been taken soon after I escorted her from her taxi to the stage door, where the camera crew were waiting for her, so she might be thinking about me in the picture! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I won't say much more about it because I don't want to spoil the plot, but if you're reading this Emmett, it says on page 96 that the first, subsequently abandoned recordings for "Pure" were made in April 2002. Yesterday I went to sunny Bournemouth in Dorset for the day, and I saw three copies of Hayley's biography in Borders while I was sheltering from the rain! They also had five copies of her DVD. I'm going to have a look in a few London bookshops later today, and I'll report back. P.. p.. p.. pick up a Penguin today! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Phew, I wish I'd sent a ferret! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAfter a fairly extensive search in Central London, I found Hayley's biography in the following stores:- Borders, Charing Cross Road - 5 copies, price £12.99. Borders, Oxford Street - 5 copies, price £12.99. HMV, 150 Oxford Street - 3 copies, price £9.99! I couldn't find it anywhere in Blackwell's, Foyles, WH Smith, Virgin Megastores or several branches of Waterstone's. I checked in the Biography, Entertainment and Music sections as appropriate in each store. I won't start to read my copy for the second time tonight because I'll only drop off to sleep straight away! (Sorry, there isn't a suitable smiley!) Bye for now, Richard

Yeah they were done here in Dublin. Its weird because that producer is going to be doing some work with Hayley on the new album.

Hello again folks! It doesn't look as though many bookshops in the UK are stocking Hayley's biography, but Borders seems to be the best place at the moment. Yesterday afternoon I saw 3 copies in their branch at Kingston, Surrey but I couldn't find it in WH Smith or Waterstone's. I haven't looked in any branches of Ottakar's yet, but I will later this week. Bye for now, Richard

Thanks Keith , TEXT why i asked was when the book first came out here (NZ) some of the advertising flyers from book shops had the other title advertised . I might have a little look round to see if there are different ones in the shops.
