Good to hear that you have received O Fortuna Graeme. I hope you are enjoying listening to it. I have quite literally had it playing non-stop - have copied it to my hard drive on the tv, copied it to Windows Media Player so I can listen to it when on the computer and have it on my little portable cd player for when I go walking!!! I can listen to it wherever I am. I know I am a saddo! The two tracks which I think are really exceptional are Benedictus and Ave Verum. I simply melt when I hear them - I think it is the Voice singing in Latin. The people that produced the insert messed up - they missed out the words to Cantilena. I shall have to check it out on the internet for the wording. I am feeling quite proud of myself - I am even learning the latin words so I can "sing along".... lol I hope everyone gets as much pleasure from the album as I do! Maggie x Hi Maggie. The answer is yes, I am enjoying the album but need to listen many more times to appreciate it properly. Have made a mix for my car made up of all of OF & some of Rhyd. plus music of the Night from ALW's 60th & Hayley with Rhydian AIAofY I love his voice, his feeling his verve....SIMPLY FANTASTIC !!! Have always loved the Carl Orf opener. Love Annies song to bits. Love How Great TA. (Have for years) I used to do Latin at school but it was long ago but it amazes me how many latin songs there are in the album. I fully intend to translate them....for me anyhow. All the Best, Graeme PS Benedictus is great but it saddens me Hayley didn't do her version with Rhydian. Ave Verum I've yet to familiarise with. (salute to truth)

Hi Graeme, good to hear that you are enjoying the album. I can't stop playing it. I do agree that it would have been wonderful to hear Hayley and Rhyd singing Benedictus together but look on the positive side, the fact that Kiri agreed to duet with him speaks volumes! Ave Verum is really my favourite, you have to sit quietly and close your eyes to listen to it to get the full impact of his voice. I have made cds with his X Factor songs, all his tour songs and a dvd of all his concert performances, I am NOT really gready!!!!! Good news and bad! The good news is that his tracks are being played on UK's radio Classic FM which is brilliant. They are playing a track each day this week. The bad news is that he was to appear as a guest on the Susan Boyle's show mid December and his appearance has now been cancelled due to a format change of the show. He must be devastated - why is it such a stuggle for him, when others get so much promotion? It is just so unfair. He will get the recognition but only through sheer hard work and dedication on his part. I am so sad for him. Have attached a link to his appearance on the Alan Titchmarsh show. He sang brilliantly and the audience certainly appreciated the performance!!! Best wishes to everyone! Maggie x www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei4gMWQ8bBw

Thanks for the Titchmarsh clip of O FORTUNA performance Maggie. I hadn't seen it. Here are some of the comments from it: evlear (1 day ago) Brilliant. I Saw Him Perform On GM:TV One Morning & Had A Fright To See Such A Powerful, Haunting Performance So Early In The Morning.
What A Talented, Articulate, Handsome Young Man - I Bought The Album & It Is Brilliant. I'd Recommend It To Anyone. Undeniably Brilliant.
lbshard (1 day ago) Wow! Fabulous performance! Thanks for posting as I missed the tv showX
P29R29 (1 day ago) Fantastic. I was so lucky to be in the 3rd Row for this performance. Not only is he a great singer, with his voice becoming more and more powerful, but a lovely person. Listened to his album all the way home. If you havn't got it, I urge you to buy it. You won't be dissapointed!
vsjk1 (1 day ago) This shows him as he really is, a lovely unassuming person, who obviously knows he can sing well [he would have to be deaf not to] Listen to the new album, not if you only like pop or wallpaper, but if you have time to sit and listen you will not regret it - brilliant Rhydian
kennelmaid1 (2 days ago) WOW!!!! what can I say, I had the privilege of being front row ,right there in front of him. IT WAS TRULY a performance that I will hold in my memory and that blow me away he was note perfect and showed all of his skills in delivering a song with drama and passion, for me it was like a private show I 'm on cloud nine. Thank you Non for posting.p.s still have my eyebrows lol did get hot!

Hi Maggie and Graeme, I love the album too, and my favorites are the ones that Rhydian sings in Latin. "O Fortuna" "Ave Verum Corpus" "Benedictus" it's not bad, but it could be better! The duet with Bryn Terfel is fantastic! The only downside is the missing of a duet with Hayley, but I guess Dame Kiri would refuse to share the same CD with Hayley! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes, Paulo Correia

The bad news is that he was to appear as a guest on the Susan Boyle's show mid December and his appearance has now been cancelled due to a format change of the show. Hi Maggie, Yes, but the worst part is that people will loose the opportunity to see/hear a great singer! But I guess they don't want to take the risk of Susan Boyle look average! Best wishes, Paulo Correia

It is another Simon Cowell extravaganza I'm sure, and he will be intimately involved. He will push Sasan Boyle for all he is worth, whilst he can. If Rhydian's face doesn't fir, he will be sacrificed. Why do any of you think anyone from any other record label will get a look in on this show. No chance at all!

Hi everyone, Just returned home from the city to cheer the Mercian Regiment marching through the city centre. They have just returned home from Afganistan, a wonderful turn-out - very moving! Re the Susan Boyle exposure, to be honest I wasn't that keen on him appearing on her show. The only good thing about that would have been the exposure he would have had, especially in the USA. Personally I think that SB is being milked to the extreme before she has a complete breakdown and I suspect that is not too far off. Martin, I don't think it is the case that Rhydian's face doesn't fit, seeing that he is signed to Simon Cowell's label and appears by all account to have a good relationship with SC. Although Subo has a good voice it is only the "hype" that has put her where she is. Paulo I doubt very much that she will sing live, they wouldn't risk it and as you say, Rhyd would have knocked spots off her with his voice. I do think though in the future that Hayley and Rhydian will get together to sing, there is plenty of time for this to happen. Graeme, thanks for the comments to his performance on Titchmarsh. Just been into HMV to check the shelves for his album - I have to say that I am really disappointed with his album cover - initially I thought it was good (when you look at it on the pc) but in reality stacked on the shelf it is very dark and dismal and does not stand out at all. In fact unless you are specifically going to buy it, you would pass it over. The blackness of it just melts in with the black shelves. Can they not get anything right? ? As I said in my previous post, Classic FM are playing his album tracks. To help Rhydian along we (his supporters) have been emailing the radio station requesting tracks from his album. Apparently they are absolutely inundated with emails for Rhyd. YAY! If you feel so inclined to add your request, especially those from outside the UK, please do so!!!! The email address is below. Let's give our boy as much help as possible. www.classicfm.co.uk/on-air/presenters/mark-forrest/Best wishes to everyone. Maggie x

I saw Rhydian perform in Perth in Scotland UK last Sunday at 'The Bethlehem Experience'
I was so looking forward to seeing him perform again and I can honestly say that he was really stunning and looked immaculate as usual in a dark slightly sparkIy suit, with a white shirt and black tie.
He appeared dramatically on stage in a cloud of white smoke through which a red light shone and for the first time I heard him perform O Fortuna live. I so wish you could all have been there with me to experience it as it really was something quite special. His performance was very powerful, the initial section hammering the senses in an extraordinary way so that you experienced rather than heard the notes. Then followed the beautifully articulated words of the middle section and he finally built up to the most amazing crescendo with his wonderful voice filling and reverberating around every corner of the hall. No televised performance I have seen comes anywhere near doing his interpretation justice.
Just when I thought things really couldnt get much better he then went on to sing Music of the Night which has always been one of my favourites. His rendition had all the emotion, sensitivity and ease of execution that we saw at Hyde Park but this time it was a more mature, sophisticated and sensuous Rhydian, totally in character and totally mesmerising.
He then relaxed a little and talked about his Gap year in South Africa and how he would recommend doing something like this if you are at a stage where you need to get your life with all its strains and stresses into perspective. He mentioned his first ever album which contains a song which reminds him how much he got to miss his home and family while he was away. I think it was called 'Homestead on the Hill'. He went on to sing it in such a simple moving way which was so refreshing to hear.
He talked about the fact that he was proud to be a Christian and that he knew that God could be relied upon. He then sang 'Annies song' really beautifully. I have always loved this song written by the very talented John Denver, but I feel Rhydian adds a certain spiritual quality to the whole, which is difficult to put into words but really is so special and so completely different. As with everything he sings he truly made it his own.
He finished his set with O Holy Night which had been especially requested by Brian, who I believe led the event. It was such a joy to hear him sing this again. It is so beautiful and I wish it could have been on the album.
The audience were enthusiastic and appreciative and I hope it wont be long before he comes back to Scotland to see us again.
A Very Happy Christmas to all Rhydian's supporters.
Clorinda

For those not aware, Rhydian will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall, London on the 15 March at the Classic FM Live concert which starts at 7.30 pm. I believe that he will be singing Ave Verum Corpus. For those who can, I hope you all tune in to listen.......
Classic fm will be announcing its nominees for the album of the year very shortly, which the public vote on. A page, not yet available on line, indicates that Rhyd album will be one of these. Keep an eye on classicfm website, from Feb 12 or 15th [two different dates found] and when link is up get voting!!!!! The classic brit awards 2010 site will also be up soon, there may be other categories he has been nominated in.
