Hello again folks! Hayley made a surprise appearance at No.1 in today's Classic FM Most Wanted, singing 'May It Be' from Howard Shore's score for 'Lord of the Rings'. I reckon Jamie Crick was trying to make me redundant again, but I'm still here! Richard

Red Alert! The latest Classic FM Most Wanted voting list includes "Traditional - Pokarekare Ana". There are a few other recordings around, but if Jamie Crick doesn't play Hayley's version tomorrow I'll treat him to a nice boat trip! Please vote everybody: www.classicfm.co.uk/mostwantedRichard

Hi Richard I think Jamie Crick must have read your post :rollin as he played Hayley's "Pokarekare Ana" at about 12.30 this afternoon! That's another feather in your cap! Hmm, you'll be starting to look like an Ostrich!! Best wishes Grant

That is excellent news. Well done to everyone who voted (including me!). That means that Hayley has been heard on Classic FM twice today because I heard 'May It Be' about three hours earlier. Roger

Hello folks! Apparently Jamie Crick turned up at the Classic FM studios this morning wearing flippers and a snorkel! He played Hayley at No.4 in today's Most Wanted, but the chart on the website shows 'Pokarekare Ana' at No.3. Either way it was a good result, so thanks for voting everybody. Richard

Hello everybody! Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana' was at No.4 in today's Most Wanted, and Tim Lihoreau played Hayley's version of 'In Trutina'. It's a pity Jamie Crick is on holiday this week. His name is much easier to spell! Richard

The same long shot came up again today. Hayley was at No.4 in the Most Wanted with 'In Trutina' from Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana'. Richard

Hello folks! Hayley was at No.3 in today's Classic FM Most Wanted with Gounod's 'Ave Maria'. Recently Jamie Crick has favoured Faryl Smith's recording, so it was good to hear Hayley's again. Richard

Yay! Hayley's version is so perfectly beautiful, that I have no reason to bother with anyone else's. I'm sure Faryl sings it nicely too, but it's Hayley's amazingly beautiful voice that makes it beautiful for me, otherwise I could probably care less about the song, in itself.

Although I like Schubert's Ave Maria better, I think Bach/Gounoud's is absolutely beautiful as a song in itself. It has been performed and recorded by so, so many great artists that one thinks that it can't surprise you anymore... But then comes Hayyley and records that, lol, that was absolutely stunning, I really think it is the most beautiful rendition of the song I've heard and probably it will remain that way. But, I guess it's normal that Faryl's version gets more exposure, as it is her signature song, as Hayley has Pokarekare Ana (which is, by the way, not one of my favorite Hayley songs). And I love Faryl singing it, as I mentioned she's got a voice which many opera mezzosopranos could dream of. I love this live video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uy2f6C9DLSoMichal
