There is a huge difference in quality between the highest quality version and the "Song only" on YouTube. Hi Martin, Don't forget that there is a "High Quality" version on YouTube (click the relevant link below the normal version there) which, although not as "high" as my h.264 version, is a lot higher than the 'normal' YT videos. Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave Superb production as always! I really enjoyed it - thank you. The h.264 version played perfectly on my system with Windows Media Player. I'm puzzled though, because friends of mine saw this on Sky on Friday and told me that Hayley sang "Santa Lucia" then! Best wishes Grant

Hi Dave
Thank you very much for this wonderful high quality video! The image is perfect and it's great to see Hayley winning this award - she really does deserve it. I'm slightly disappointed that Elaine Paige didn't mention Hayley's work for UNICEF though.

The Awards programme was and is scheduled only for today at 5pm, and that is when it was broadcast. However, for people with recent versions of the Sky+ or Sky+ HD PVRs, it appeared on "Sky Anytime", which is meant to automatically download overnight to the hard disk, a selection from yesterday's programming, anything Sky think we might regret having missed. Well sometimes, it seems, they download a programme in advance of the actual broadcast... and that's what happened to this show and that's how I managed to prepare and upload everything so soon - I also watched and recorded it from "Anytime"... two days early! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRoger and I agreed that it might not be a good idea to post significant excerpts from the show before it had been "officially" broadcast, so that's what happened. Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave! Thank you for the great video. You did a fantastic job bringing Hayley to everyone who doesn't receive Sky TV. It was nice to see one of my favorite British actors, Simon Pegg, seems to be a fan of Hayley as well. Thomas

Hi Dave,
You have shattered my illusion! I was really impressed to think that you had managed to post such a fine piece of work so soon after the broadcast!
But well done anyway!
Martin

HoHoHo And I thought you'd learnt how to perform miracles! So I nearly let the cat out of the bag in my earlier post but thought I must have been mistaken so deleted what I had been told thinking I was mistaken! Well done anyway Dave. Best wishes Grant

Many Thanks from "me too" Dave. Top Class !!!!! What a marvellous, sparkling performance from a radiant Hayley. I sincerely hope she was encouraged by that award enough to go thru the current rest cure phase positively. Such a great girl, Graeme

There is a huge difference in quality between the highest quality version and the "Song only" on YouTube. Sound quality too! Song only is useful, since I can rip it to a CD to play in the car. Hi Martin and thanks everyone, OK... one final version, Santa Lucia only, at the highest quality so far. 2mbps video (h.264 codec again) and the soundtrack is 256kbps mp3 audio. Santa Lucia highest quality (h.264 codec, 37MB 2.2 mbps). Cheers, Dave.

They say its wrong to give anyone a copy and you can only make a copy for yourself.

Hi Georgina,
Strictly speaking, yes it probably is a copyright infringement but there are two big differences between making this video available and transferring recordings from an album. The transmitted version of this event is never, as far as we know, likely to be commercially available. We are therefore not denying anyone an income and we are not reducing the chances of anyone watching the programme if it should be repeated. Secondly (although this should not be taken as Sky TV's tacit approval), there is no copyright notice on the broadcast like there is on CDs.
Other than that, I can only say that we have been making videos of small segments of television programmes available for years and nobody has ever complained yet.
Roger

Hi Dave, I didn't think that you're so fast, but even with the headstart it's great as always. Thank you very much indeed, Karsten
