Hi Everyone, I'm on a bit of a roll here. I found this scan of Hayley in a Japanese/English magazine. I haven't seen it anywhere here before, so I thought that I'd post it. It has a very funny story in it about Hayley meeting the Japanese Royals! Apparently there's very strict protocol about the length of meetings and time was up, but the Royals wanted to extend the meeting for autographs! Apparently it created quite a stir! Click for larger:

Hi Everyone, Just one more picture from a 2008 Japanese news article promoting HSJS www.yomiuri.co.jp/entertainment/music/news/20080614et03.htmIn case you hadn't noticed, I'm going a bit nuts on the Japanese front because I've just learnt how to write Hayley in Japanese -- so I can put it into google etc!

Oops, sorry. I was finding all sorts of things I'd never seen on youtube (excluding the wrong one I posted). I think I found it next to the video I posted, and I must've just forgotten to copy the link. I thought I had because I had just been doing it a whole bunch with other things, and I guess I lost track of what I'd copied and what I hadn't.

Isn't there some way for us to read it? Even when I enlarge it, the words are still quite small, and it's hard to tell what order everything's in. I could see that they wrote Hayley's responses in exactly as she must have said them, with all the "ahs" and repeated words, etc.

Isn't there some way for us to read it? Yes, Libby. Having clicked on the link in Jillian's post, move the cursor away from the image and then back over it again. Click on the icon that appears on the lower right corner of it. Roger

Thanks, Roger. You still can't read the entire interview. It's still mixed up. You see answers to questions, but you don't see the question.

Hi Libby, I think that you're having that problem because there's pages missing in the scan. I found that scan on a Japanese blog/fansite that was more concerned with the Japanese Royals. From what I could glean from google translate, Hayley inadvertently created (another) stir by her saying (in regards to the royals wanting autographs) "And then they said, "Oh, no, wait, we want you to sign something for us". I think the Japanese readers took that quote at face value (rather than it being Hayley's own paraphrasing) and were quite shocked that the Crown Prince and Princess would use such informal language -- I think that Hayley's wording may have translated quite unfavourably into Japanese and made it sound like a rude order than a polite request ... anyway... the perils of being lost in translation. I think because of this emphasis, the image they provided was more concerned with the parts about the royals... the full scan is probably floating around somewhere -- but I think I've currently exhausted my supply of Japanese skill, so I'm not sure I'd be able to find it! :rollin Here's the link to the Japanese discussion: wiki.livedoor.jp/dosukono/d/%a5%de%a5%b5%a5%b0%a5%ea%a5%c3%a5%b7%a5%e5

Hi Everyone, Another update. I think that I've found a review of one of Hayley's Japanese concerts. It seems the set list was (through google translate) So that would be: 1. ....? (Player) 2. Tsubomi 3. Scarborough Fair 4. Hana 5. ....? (Bird Song) 6. Never Saw Blue 7. Mikazuki (Crescent Moon) 8. I Am A Thousand Winds 9. Danny Boy 10. White is The Colour of Love 11. Shenadoah 13. Pokarekare Ana 14. Sonny 15. ...? (Stained Snow) 16. Nada Sou Sou Encore 17. Nemunoki 18. Amazing Grace Can anyone help with the missing ones? It's kind of bizzare the google translation. If you took it at face value, " And, Mr. Haley has appeared in the head with a red wig and red dress." Ha, ha ha! Apparently, Mr. Hayley also need to be congratulated on her (his??) marriage -- according to the translation. Overall, the review seemed very positive. It's quite obvious what Player and Bird Song are, if you're familiar with Hayley's songs.
