Sorry girls, but I've lost all interest now. I have closed my account on the AAI Forum.

Oh Dear, I hardly think Charlotte, Daisy, Laura and Melanie are to blame for this, There is only one bottom line in the commercial music industry, shifting product and making profit. Just because the " Industry" is full of airheads and posers, full of their own self importance and imagined prowess in the Industry, (Who did not sign the Beatles ) I would not for one minute blame the singers / musicians themselves, Once they sign THAT contract they more or less have to do their masters bidding, whether the master is sane or not..

Hi Richard, I am very sorry that you feel that way and that you have decided to close your account, but I respect your decision. It has been quite frustrating over the past year, with the change of mangement, lack of concerts and the delaying of the new album, but like Paul says, I don't blame the girls for it and have always had concerns at the way they are managed, especially by UCJ/Decca. At the end of the day, the reason I like All Angels is because of Daisy, Laura, Charlotte and Melanie and their talent. On a less serious note, it's very much like supporting Stoke City, Premier League team, run like a conference side! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDazza

Well in contrast to Richard's disappointment, I have just discovered All Angels. I've heard about them many times on this forum, and I've even seen concert pictures of them here. But I have never looked them up to listen to their music. Today, in chat, a few people convinced me to look them up on youtube, which led me to order both of their CD's from the UK. Looking forward to listening to the CDs. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSorry this is off topic.

Hello everybody! I've received an email from Decca about 'Fly Away'. It doesn't confirm the release date, but Amazon still say the album will be released on Monday 11th January 2010. Richard

I can highly recommend this album - I've listened to it several times over the weekend and think its fantastic (the service from HMV.com was really good - I preordered and my copy was posted on Wednesday and landed on my doormat Friday morning!). Its a little different to the first 2 albums - certainly worth buying.

Oh no! I forgot to buy this today...
Does anyone know if Tesco are stocking it? Normally I wouldn't even ask, but after seeing so many artists not being stocked at supermarkets lately, I have my doubts!

Hi Nicola, the album should be available in Tesco because I've seen several tesco adverts today advertising the CD...I hope to get a copy soon, probably from Tesco, but if the snow and ice continues, i really don't know when that will be best wishes Sing xx

Hello everyone,
All Angels' new album is no. 40 in the initial midweek chart and so if it qualifies as classical, it is likely to be no. 2 in the classical charts, after Andre Rieu's "Forever Vienna" which is likely to remain at no. 1.
The weekly sales for such a position will, of course, be very much lower than the same chart position in the weeks leading up to Christmas - but it's definitely a way to get yourself noticed in the charts and on TV. If they stay around the no.. 40 mark, they should sell about 4,000 copies (less than Hayley sold at no. 95 before Christmas).

I picked up this album this afternoon (HMV - £9.99) and am playing it now for the first time. The girls' voices are unbelievably good as we have come to expect from Laura, Melanie, Charlotte and Daisy and the arrangements are complex and generally pleasant (with one exception). Overall, it is very nice. VERY nice. But it doesn't excite me like their first two albums did.
To my mind, the inclusion of the Harlem Gospel Choir in the very first track was a mistake. I was just drifting into a world of peace and contentment and enjoying those four beautiful voices when their untimely interruption disturbed me and completely spoiled the effect. It would have been less of an intrusion later in the album but right here at the beginning is just plain weird.
The inclusion of four traditional songs (three of which are relatively unknown) seems to be scraping the barrel somewhat and I don't think they do anything to enhance the album as a whole even though these renditions are about as good as they can get.
It has occasionally been said that some of Hayley's albums are over-produced. I have never agreed but I certainly feel it with Fly Away, especially during Berstein's 'Somewhere'. The orchestral arrangement is overdone and detracts from the beauty of the vocals. Pity.
I don't follow All Angels much now but it was mentioned earlier in this thread that this is a concept album. If that is the case, the concept escapes me. More importantly, if this somehow qualifies as classical, I'm a Dutchman!
Again, it is very nice but it is nothing like the first two albums in terms of tracklisting, style or even genre.

I agree Roger. I bought the first 2 albums. I don't think I'll be buying this one.

I can't wait to hear mine but Play.com have been packing it up since 07/01/2010, I spoke to play.com yesterday and they say it should be shipped inside the next few days. I was very shocked as play have previously been very good with pre-orders (ordered on 30/07/2009)

Hi Dean,
I also ordered from Play.com and the status of my order is the same, I also believe that people who ordered from CD Wow are also having difficulties. I don't know what the problem is with pre-orders, as you say, Play have never let me down before with pre-orders. HMV and Amazon were able to dispatch wthout problems.
I didn't want to wait so I popped into town on Monday to pick up my copy and I have had a few listens now.
I am quite impressed with it. There were no real surprises as we have known for a while that this album was going in a different direction to the first two albums, it is still in keeping with All Angels style though and there are some beautiful vocals.
I agree with Roger in that I didn't really like the inclusion of the Harlem Gospel Choir in 'I'll Fly Away', but a part from that I think it's a good album.
One of the songs I have been listening to a lot is Send In The Clowns, I think it is absolutely beautiful.
