Hi All, Enjoy your concert.... The only thing I know about "Barrow" is that it was on the stern of the Orient Line ship "Otranto" on board which I travelled as a 10 year old to Australia. After this concert Hayley will know more about Barrow than I do. Best Wishes & take plenty of pics & vids, Graeme

Hi Grant,
Not everyone is like you and I Grant, staying up half the night to post the first report! Or even logging in first thing in the morning after a concert hoping to find one!
You have to give the poor guy some recovery time!
My theory is he was so blown away he is still trying get his feet back on the ground!

Dean was so Hayleywowed last night he couldn't find his way home! That was almost the case, I got home about 11:30. I'm still walking in the air! I will post my report later when I have sorted some of the photos but for now here is the latest from the local papar. nwemail.co.uk/entertainment/news_reviews/hayley_westenra_slideshowA PACKED house gave classical singing star Hayley Westenra a standing ovation at her concert at Barrow’s Forum 28 last night. The 21-year-old singer from New Zealand has dueted with megastars like Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli and performed for the Queen, Tony Blair and the Dalai Lama. And last night she enthralled the 500-strong audience at the Forum. Forum manager, Sandra Baines, who was at the show, said: “She was on stage for just under two hours and she was wonderful. “She has got a fantastic voice and the audience loved her.” She said Hayley and her band thrilled music fans with a set list packed with hits, which included Ave Maria and Danny Boy and ended with an encore of Amazing Grace. Westenra began performing when she was six and was a mere 16 when she released her debut album, Pure, which reached number one on the UK classical charts in 2003 and has sold two million copies. It is the fastest-selling international debut classical album to date. Tickets for her show at the Forum sold out before the venue’s brochure was even printed.

Don't miss the link to the slideshow at the top of the article. I am sorry but I am not impressed by the Evening Mails Photographs, as Hayley is a beautiful subject to photograph (oh How I wish I had that job last night). I took some photos that I need to tweek a little when I get home, which I feel will be much better. but I did manage to get this one: More Later Dean

Hi Dean, Please don't let us wait too long It seems that there was no signing session afterwards, was it ? All the best, Karsten No because of a late arrival and newcastle tonight, we had no signing session as they needed to leave right after the show. I didn't make a list of all the tracks sung in order but I'm sure Roger will correct it on friday but I'll do my best. Only 18 days to my next concert More Later Dean

The pictures in the slideshow are very nice, but some of them are way too tiny! I also have my doubts that she only wore the orange dress! She doesn't usually wear only one dress per show. Dean, I like your photo best! I can't wait to see the rest of them!

No signing in Barrow - it seems there has been quite a few concerts on the tour so far that hasn't had a signing afterwards. Hayley does look well in her hat though! Was there a tour program/flyer available in Barrow?
