While watching a replay of the All blacks vs England rugby match they interviewed Brian Laws who is the director of the choir. He said they are shortly going to England for a tour and that they are looking forward to working with Hayley and Dame Malvina Major. So keep an eye out for the concerts. The tour is in July/August. They will spend a week in London which is when he said they will be with Hayley. Here is a link for the itinerary www.christchurchcathedralchoir.com/tour-itineraryI am guessing the St James Church Piccadilly concert on 7th August is the Hayley concert.

Thanks for the tip, Ross! There's no information on St. James's website yet, but I'll have a look there later today to see if there's any publicity. www.st-james-piccadilly.org/EveningConcerts.htmlI'll leave this thread on the Media board until we get some definite information, then I might move it to the Concert board and change the title. Thanks Ross. Your guess may well be right as it is the only concert mentioned.
I'll pop to St.James at lunchtime today and enquire.

TICKET ALERT This evening concert indeed will feature Hayley. Also Dame Malvina Major and Will Martin. Tickets are now available but you cannot order online. They can only be ordered by telephone by calling number 0207 3810441 and then you are required to pay on collection immediatley prior to the concert. Ticket price is £18 only (no seat reservations) and the helpful lady said early booking is recommended as she expects tickets to sell out very quickly. Good luck (and see you there!) Martin ps Please note that Hayley's appearance is not yet confirmed by Bedlam but I am taking the chance! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Thank you very much for the information Martin. Unfortunately I'll be in New York City on August 7th but I hope to see many pictures & reports! Excellent performers (a duet between Will & Hayley at last?), perfect location, cheap tickets...but wrong date for me! Stephany

Well done Martin! I visited St. James's Church at about 10:15 this morning but there was nobody around and no publicity for this concert. I've just reserved my ticket, and I told the helpful lady she can expect some more phone calls. 45 days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard

I visited St. James's Church at about 10:15 this morning but there was nobody around and no publicity for this concert. Richard There does not appear to be a promoter for this concert hence no online booking or box office or any publicty (as yet). The (helpful) lady said that Church regulations do not allow money to be taken in advance hence no box office. Martin

We heard about this concert via the press a while ago so I guess it's going ahead as planned. There's nothing yet on Will or Dame Malvina Major's official websites. I sent an email to a couple of Will fans so I hope they will be able to join you at this concert. Stephany

Hello again everybody! It looks as though HWI is going to be the chief promoter for this concert! Now for the bad news. Garfunkel's Restaurant in Piccadilly is now a Scotch Steak House, so we'll probably have to meet up at Ponti's instead. Alternatively there's a small Caffé Nero just next to the church, and I've got a loyalty card! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Hello everyone.
I'm definitely up for this one, but am a little concerned that, at this point in time, we can only reserve tickets. It worries me somewhat that there could be several hundred people queueing to pay for and collect tickets before the concert and that could take hours!
I recall at All Angels last year, many people queued for payment/collection and that was with a box office.
I may wait a day or two until things become clearer or if somewhere like the RFH takes on the box office roll as they have done in the past.
Best wishes Grant

I emailed Bedlam to ask for confirmation this morning. Nothing back so far. I have to say I don't like the idea of reserving tickets and paying for them and collecting them on the day. Too much can go wrong and that could be very costly for those travelling from any distance. I also concur with Grant's comments about the inevitable length of the queue and the time it will take to obtain tickets. I have seen similar situations in the past and it is absolute bedlam chaos! Hi All I have spoken further with the "helpful" ticket lady and she advises, irrespective of the fact that tickets are not yet paid for, to arrive as early as possilbe to secure a good seat.position (I think we are masters at that ). So providing we get there early (she recommended at least one hour before the concert starts) then we should have no problem paying or getting a good seat. She assures me that those who have reserved tickets will gain entry. It does occur to me however that assuming it will be a full house church then the start time could be delayed if this process is not extremely slick which is why she also asks for cash or cheque payment.
