Hi Grant, I am also trying but with the same result. Also, the recorded message is such poor quality that it isn't easy to hear what is being said. I can't help feeling there are more professional ways of booking tickets than this.  Roger |

Hello Everyone Having persevered, I managed to 'catch' the very helpful lady at St James just before 6pm and reserved myself a ticket. I've also booked myself in to the Croydon Travelodge. I did ask the lady how it was going and although she didn't know precisely, I gather it is going well and also being sold 'in New Zealand' (by the choir I presume) and also at the New Zealand embassy. Looks like we could be surrounded by Kiwi's again!  Best wishes Grant |

Hi Grant, Thanks to your email which prompted me to try one more time, I have now reserved three seats (for Dave, Libby and me). I was advised that we should get there when the doors open (6:30) because they are "expecting to be busy". That ties in with the comments that you heard. I don't think we have too much to worry about on that score. I'm sure the fact that it is a church as opposed to a nightclub will ensure a much more dignified and respectful audience.

Hi everyone
I'm working at a very famous shop in Piccadilly for the next couple of days and walk past the church on my way from Piccadilly Circus tube station. Does anyone know if I can pop in while I'm there and get tickets?

Hi Colin,
Apparently Richard tried that without success but that doesn't mean it would not be possible. Grant and I were trying to phone throughout the afternoon only to be greeted with a recorded message. However, at around 6pm, we were both successful. All of that indicates that it may come down to a question of timing. If you are in the area, I see no harm in trying and you may be lucky.
It sounds as though I will soon be saying, "See you there"!

Hello Colin!  They have free lunchtime recitals in St. James's Church every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 1:10pm and 2:00pm. If you call in then you should find somebody to ask. Best Wishes, Richard  |

Hi Colin It is unlikely that you will be able to reserve tickets by calling in personally as it is telephone bookings only. In fact I am not even sure that the office taking these bookings is at the Church. I often eat my lunch in the Church's grounds (no, not the graveyard ) and there is sometimes a warden floating around but only when there is a lunchtime concert as Richard mentions. Martin |
