Hi all, During these two days when the forum was down a (great) problem popped out of my mind and finally I can raise it here. The Deluxe Edition which some of us might have preordered is said to be made of some new type CD called SHM CD (I call it 'Simple Harmonic Motion CD' ). My worry is that will our computers have problem reading this kind of SHM CD? More importantly, will our computers even be able to import the songs from the SHM CD into our hard drives/ MP3 players? Since I've only ordered one of such precious album I'm quite unwilling to put the CD into the CD player every time I want to listen to it. It'll be troublesome if I can't use iTunes to play the songs. By the way, is our spell check function down? Cheers, Tin

Hi Everyone, I am posting this here rather than in the Ebay thread as it is most definitely NOT a good deal. £23-89 + about £ 3-80 for P & P LOOK HERESomeone is trying to make a 'Fast Buck'. I seem to remember we are getting all three CD's for about this from CD Japan ! Graham

Hi everyone I've just been down to the post office on the off chance that the parcel had already arrived, and it had!!! I can confirm that it is just called Hayley Sings Japanese Songs with the cover we've seen already. It's a plain CD, but there are two booklets (in the De Luxe edition at least), one with lyrics the other with photos. There are two or three photos of Hayley that I've not seen before. It came together with the Amazing Grace and the Where Do Go From Here single CDs. Now to listen to them! Kind regards Colin PS - According to the documentation that came with the CDs, cdjapan shipped them on 31st May. I'm so impressed with these guys - they're quicker than Amazon.co.uk with their deliveries!

Hi Colin,
I'd be really pleased if you can try ripping the CD into your computer hard disk (ie. Import the songs in to iTunes, if you're using it). Can you try it if you have time? Thank you.
Tin

Hi Tin
It certainly does on my Mac. I'm importing them into iTunes now.
The Gracenote database that iTunes uses to name the tracks though doesn't know the CD yet! I'll have to type in all the track names afterwards, I guess.
I'll let you know if my PC recognises the disk a little later.
Kind regards
Colin

Hi everyone A final couple of snippets: I Believe is not the old Bachelors song. But I think it might well become a favourite with many people - it is outstanding Also, Hayley is down as writing many of the English lyrics on the CD - I presume this is more than just mere translation, which is very good to see. Unless people ask I won't post any more until others have a chance to listen to their copies first. Kind regards Colin

Hi Colin Thank you for the information so far - looks as though you're the lucky one with your copy arriving first. Hopefully the others will arrive in the next day or two. Also appreciate you not giving too much away until we've had chance to see and play ours. Best wishes Grant

Hi Colin, How frustrating that you were out when they tried to deliver it. At least it tells us all that our copies may not be too far away. I Believe is not the old Bachelors song... Isn't it? I had no idea there was another song of the same title and I can definitely imagine Hayley singing the familiar one. Actually, I'm surprised that she hasn't. Let's face it, we'd rather listen to her than to Con, Dec and John! Roger

I think that I Believe is a pop song originally sung by a young female Japanese singer, and should be a relatively new song. I think I heard that song a few times during the weekly announcement of Oricon Chart on Sundays.

Hi Colin, I'm saying nothing on either count.... except that I was about 11 when I bought 'Charmaine'! Tin's description of the "new" song has intrigued me. I must remember not to leave the house until tomorrow's post has arrived! Roger
