Thank you very much Sonata58! It's so funny - I used to listen to track 6 (I mean the original version) when I was a kid. My Dad loves it too. He also has the Chinese version! I hope he likes the English one as well. The Japanese cover of track 3 is one my little sister's favourites. She's going to love Hayley's version. I'm happy because I now realize that is an album for all my family! It brings back lots of good memories from the time I was living in Tokyo. Stephany

Thanks Sonata! Those samples are absolutely beautiful. If this gets to be an international album, I think it will become my favourite of all of Hayley's CDs. Her voice sounds beautiful, and the arrangements are lovely. I think there's a really nice warmth and simplicity to this album. Can't wait to hear some of the other songs.

Thanks for the link, Sonata. I pre-ordered the album long ago and had decided not to listen to any samples until it arrived so I could hear the whole album without any pre-conceived ideas. Tonight, I could resists no longer and so I afforded myself the luxury of listening to just one of the sample tracks. If that is typical of them all, I am even more impatient for the album to arrive. I afforded myself the luxury of listening to just one of the sample tracks. Hello Roger and everyone I also have had this album on pre-order for some time and so far I have managed to resist listening to any of the clips. I want the experience of listening to this album for the first time to be a completely new one. I am getting very excited about it however, I think it is going to be very special. I thought that about "Prayer" and I wasn't disappointed. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
I am hoping that CD Japan start shipping overseas orders several days in advance of the release date (like Amazon do) so we receive it in good time. Although I have ordered from them several times, I have not pre-ordered so this will be a test case!

Hi Roger It would be great if they were to do that! I have also ordered from CD Japan on a number of occasions before and they usually ship very quickly. Lets hope they do this time! Best wishes Grant

Thanks Sonata for the link. Her voice sounds really beautiful and sweet. I'm sure she'll find a lot of new fans in Japan and maybe we could listen her voice in another videogame soundtrack next year.. who knew.

Yes thank you Sonata for the link to the sound clips. This sounds like amazing work from Hayley! She sounds magnificent and the songs sound interesting and beautiful. I have pre-ordered my copy from Amazon in Japan, and they are usually very reliable. As a total music fanatic, I can tell you from my previous experiences with them that generally new releases come out on Wednesday in Japan; when I pre-order from them in advance, I usually have my disc ON the release date! They ship via Fedex, so it is a little more costly, but I actually prefer it to the Express Mail from Japan.

Thanks sonata58, Well I have listened to the half dozen or so track samples available so far and this is going to be a very interesting album! It's all in English so far and it's also an interesting style for Hayley, [don't highlight the spoiler below if you don't want to know the style!] Spoiler--> Hayley has gone all middle-of-the-road and ballady on this album! If this does well, I wonder if Hayley will try the same idea in other Countries, or even release this actual album elsewhere? 'citing! Cheers, Dave

It's all in English so far and it's also an interesting style for Hayley, Hello Dave, Interesting observation - this is quite evidently a new direction for Hayley and I also wonder if her next Decca album will be influenced by this style of music. So far, I'm loving all those samples but I know I am a bit biased because I am already familiar with most of the original Japanese songs. But she's doing more than a fine job with her English covers! It will be interesting to see if the Japanese fans will like this CD or not. It's a risk -- I mean, I have listened to many French classics sang in different languages and it's very often quite weird to listen these covers for a French native. We are bound to make a comparison and it's not always at the advantage of the "new" version. Stephany

I think they both are- one is probably the actual cover, and the other is probably the cover of the caredboard case it comes in. As for which is which, the right one is the former and the left the latter.

Hi Northern Lights I think you may be right about both the two images being used as Universal Japan does seem to like putting its CD's into covers or boxes. As for which one will be used for which, I wouldn't like to hazard a guess. However, I think both are stunning. Best wishes Grant

Hi Dori, Northern Lights & Grant, I agree, those pictures are both stunning. It's a lovely photoshoot. However, I think I would prefer the second one as the CD's cover. It has a more 'mysterious' feeling Stephany x
