Hi Martin and Joyce
Yes, I'm still playing HSJS for all it is worth as well. Truly the most beautiful album I have ever heard and I agree with everything you say about Hayley's lyrics Martin - she's one very talented young lady.
Best wishes Grant

I just got my deluxe edition on Friday, along with Prayer. I haven't had the chance to hear all of it yet. I started out with "I Believe", and it's just wonderful! I also like "White is the Color of True Love", in English and Japanese! That's why I got the deluxe edition. I like hearing the lyrics in English, so I understand it, but I just really like how the Japanese lyrics sound, especially with Hayley singing them! Another song I really like is the one called "Blooming Flower", if I'm not mistaken. I love the little Hayley photo booklet that came with it, too!

Hi Libby,
Glad you like the album. My opinion, for what it is worth though, is that you need to play the tracks in the order they are on the CD, because it is a concept album. The songs seem to progress and tell a story of gained and lost love, and the triumph of time and the human spirit over pain and loss. The whole thing is very moving if you play it like that. It is much more than just a collection of songs.

Hello everyone I made a rather interesting Ebay purchase earlier this evening. Still not sure what to make of it! The seller described it as Hayley Westenra Sings Japanese Songs 2 GOLD CD 39 Trks China version There are actually only 29 tracks but I won't hold that against him! It is a 2 CD set comprising the 11 track version of HSJS plus a second CD containing 18 tracks, which looks like it should be Prayer. However, the last track of Prayer is missing but there are five tracks from Pure and Odyssey included instead. From the picture it looks as though there are two CD's in a cardboard slip case. More details when it arrives. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant and Comet, I managed to get one as well .... before Grant's post..... so It was even more of 'pot luck' for me as the listing on my computer was all squares and circles I guess my computer does not have the necessary language pack; otherwise I am in trouble when it arrives :2fun: Best Wishes, Graham

Hi Graham Most of HSJS on the one I bought was just a series of squares, except for the word 'duet' on the first track and 'I Believe' for the final track. Otherwise it was fairly easy to count the lines of squares to deduce there were 11 tracks! Best wishes Grant

Well, I suppose if I wanted to I could put together illegal compilations from the Hayley albums I have and sell them on ebay! Are you sure that this is not what happened? I can imagine titles like "Classical Hayley", Hayley sings folk", "Hayley's pop songs" etc.
Of course I suppose I could be wrong and it could be an official release. But I can't find any trace of it with Google.
You can't be too careful.

Hi Martin, I was thinking the same about this cd, when it appeared on Ebay. The auction says, it is a China release, and the discs are gold-discs. I've searched everywhere about this release, but couldn't find any information. Just two weeks ago, i found a Connie Talbot cd from Hong Kong too, with a free copy of Hayleys album Prayer, it was sold as a Connie Talbot, special chinese release ? Of course, as a collector, i would be nice to have it in the collection, but something in my mind said not to order it!! One of my first purchases from Ebay, was an Odyssey Hong Kong release, with Pure as an extra disc in it.........gold discs, with wrong titles, and on a SONY label.I didn't know when i bought it, but realized it was an unofficial when i opened it Maybe i am wrong , lets wait for the comments, and order it later.Greetz JOYCE.

Hi Joyce, Martin and everyone. It is always a risk with some of these obscure releases as to what will eventually turn up. Personally, I've never (to the best of my knowledge) bought a fake. I did wonder with this one, but for just over ten quid it seemed worth the risk. I did check the sellers feedback after I'd made the purchase and there were only a couple of negative comments. Oh well, it all adds to the excitement! Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant and All, I read through some of the sellers feedback; and for similar listings for other artists there were very favorable comments. We will just have to wait and see and hope for the best.
