Unfortunately, we don't know any further details about the new album yet. Actually Roger, we do! Hayley said two days ago to MoreFM that she recorded this new album in Japanese and English. She's also hoping that it will be released worldwide, not just in Japan. I was surprised that no one commented on that but it looks as though you missed my post about the Japanese album here. Stephany Hi Stephany and everyone, Steve Abbott told me late last year that he was hoping to find a way to make the Japanese album available outside Japan (such as in the UK for example) at a more reasonable price than places like HMV and Amazon charge for imports. I mentioned that we often import Hayley's Japanese albums direct by mail and that it's a lot less expensive than using Amazon etc., then I got the impression that If necessary, he'd import some himself to get the cost down for us! Let us hope that he can persuade Decca to make it an official (even if limited) release) outside Japan, perhaps in the way they released Hayley's DVD (which had no promotion in the UK and many other places). That (no promotion costs) would solve the problem of it being rather close to the anticipated release date of Hayley's next International album but I guess we will have to wait and see. I wonder if the result of the Classical Brits voting will have some bearing on the final decision? These possibilities are things to bear in mind before ordering the album direct from Japan. Cheers, Dave

Hi Stephany, Hmmm, The Japanese version, is it going to be Hayley singing in Japanese or at that matter is it going to be Hayley & what you posted are just the songs that Hayley will be doing Or am I missing something here? Take Care, Howard

Hi everyone This is now up on cdjapan as "Heylay Meets Japanese Songs Deluxe Edition" [their misspelling], at £14.84, released 4th June. Also on this site is a 2008 version of Amazing Grace single (£4.63) released on 21st May. I don't know if this will be the same version as on the album, but I guess it's likely. This will take you to Hayley's first page on cdjapan: www.cdjapan.co.jp/list_from_code_banner.html?key=326385Best regards Colin

Dear Howard, Looking at the repertoire I'd infer Hayley would really sing in Japanese but of course I'm only guessing. What we can do now is to wait for Decca to release more information. Patience Yours, Tinmeigut

Interesting find, Colin. Thank you very much. A single, an album and a deluxe album? Wow - I'm impressed! Stephany

A single, an album and a deluxe album? Mmmm!? I hadn't picked up that the delux album was additional to the album. Wonder what the difference will be? Lots of Love Grant

Hi Roger, Dave and everyone I made a poor attempt to translate the tracklist and try to guess the songs. Here's a rough translation. Please be aware that I could be completely wrong! CD: Hayley meets Japanese songs1. White colour (listen to original song here) 2. Flower (there's a song by "Orange Range" with exactly the same title, but somehow I doubt it will be this song unless Hayley has really gone into pop & rock. Listen here) 3. Becoming thousand winds (listen to original song here) 4. Dogwood (listen to original song by Hitoto Yo here) 5. Yuki No Hana (it means "Snow Flower" or "Bloom of Snow", it's originally a song by Nakashima Mika, listen here) 6. Song for Memories (listen to original song here) 7. White colour [same as track number 1, but Japanese version] 8. Era (listen to original song by Tokunaga Hideaki here) 9. Graduation photography (listen to original song here) 10. I believe (could also be the Japanese song version of "I believe" by Ayaka - have a listen here) 11. Love love love [English version - BONUS TRACK] (listen to original version by Epik High here; again I could be wrong as it's not the type of song Hayley would usually sing) 12. Amazing Grace (I'm not sure but it looks as though this is going to be a duet in Japanese) Hope it helps a little Thanks for the great news, Stephany! Some lovely Japanese songs to look forward to. I noticed that two of the YouTube links (songs 6 and 8) are the same. Could these possibly be song number 8 ('Era', 'Times')? jp.youtube.com/watch?v=MkBzeseuexc&feature=relatedor this? jp.youtube.com/watch?v=z4NF3-TCgTIYour Japanese expertise is needed urgently, Stephany. Hi Paddy, You are absolutely right, I copied and pasted the same link for 6 and 8. It's the right song for track 6, but the original song for track 8 is performed by Tokunaga Hideaki: jp.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1RzSEBKLt8 (the two links you posted are different songs). I modified my original post. Thanks for pointing this out. Stephany

But I think I prefer the ladies' singing it to Tokunaga (on the links)! Paddy P.S. Stephany, you deserve a trip to Derry and Belfast and Dublin and Limerick! The hospitality would be ok too. ...

Thank you Paddy, that was very useful information The full album is indeed identified as a 'First Pressing' but it is also referred to as 'De-lux Edition'. Knowing how popular Hayley is in Japan, I've decided not to take any chances so I've just pre-ordered a copy, I've also included the 'Amazing Grace' single. With my 'frequent shopper' discount, total cost is 5100 Yen or US$49.55 which is about 25 quid! But I won't be charged until the albums are shipped in early June. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
I'll probably do the same very soon except that I'm not sure about the Amazing Grace single. I suppose it's going to be the same track that is featured on the full album?
Love Stephany
