But don't think that is easy guy's. I'm sure it isn't. Faryl will have pressures applied as she grows up, just as Hayley did. Hayley resisted thm, and I suspect it cost her. But nonethless she stuck to her guns and I for one admire her for it. I would hope that Faryl will do the same. If she does, she will one day be a truly great artist.
Those who caved in to the pressure, Charlotte Church for example, must now live on past glories. Katherine Jenkins also I think has flirted with falling into that trap.

I'd agree, Martin. It's a real tightrope for anyone growing up in the public eye. For every Hayley, there are at least a dozen young stars who run into drugs, alcohol abuse, or other methods of ruining their lives that they might have avoided if only they had been allowed to grow up quietly out of the spotlight. The kind of pressures they are under (Especially the cruel and unfair expectation many 'fans' seem to have that they remain children forever) do tremendous damage to them.
So yeah, it won't be easy to be Faryl. We just have to hope she stays as sensible as she seems now as she grows older.

I am new and late to the Faryl Smith table, just as I was for Hayley. I continue to be astounded by this young woman’s talent, vocal range, poise, and refreshing humility. I look forward to seeing her perform one day when next she visits the USA.
Best regards to all,
Steve R

Shame about the noisy crowd but these events always let children in ! Have fun those of you going to the Serenata Festival today. I got slated on Faryl's forum for suggesting it was a bit pricey for an outdoor event where the star is basically still a child performer, albeit a very good one. Looking at the weather, I think I made the right choice, global warming has claimed the south !! Prices are even higher tomorrow when Katherine Jenkins arrives. I know these two have recently each bought property (a £4.7 million mansion in Katherine's case) but I'm afraid I won't be helping them pay for it ! Some stars seem to charge what they think they can get away with and flaunting one's wealth never goes down well with fans. Hayley concerts on the other hand are always reasonably priced. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi nJeff,
Yes, I hope Faryl isn't going that way. I have been priced out of some of Katherine's concerts for a while, Viva la Diva was ridiculous. Not worth it when I would rather hear Hayley anyway. And I agree, Hayley always gives stunning value for money.

To be fair to Faryl, I doubt she would have any control over ticket prices at a festival of this kind. As with other festivals, I assume the stars are hired to perform and the organisers set the prices according to what they think they can get.

Anyone in Ireland might like to see Faryl in Dublin with Jonathan Ansell 20 Oct 2010 RTÉ Concert Orchestra Signature Series 2010 The National Concert Hall, Dublin An ideal pairing of two young singing sensations who shot to fame on TV. On Britain’s Got Talent Simon Cowell called Faryl Smith ‘literally one in a million ...the most talented youngster I've ever heard’. She will be just 15 when she joins the RTÉ Concert Orchestra for her first Irish performance. ... Alongside her will be charismatic tenor Jonathan Ansell, a popular favourite of G4 on The X Factor. Since their split he has established himself as a star in his own right, with a mass appeal that sees him at the top of both the classical and the pop charts. tickets.nch.ie/online/mapSelect.asp?BOset%3A%3AWSadmissions%3A%3Aadmission%3A%3Aperformance_id=95458248-5AE3-4EBF-AC7E-1BAECB43CA37

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cyvt83hEOKoHi everyone, I have come across to this video, promoting a DVD of the Belgian choir Scala and Kolacny Brothers... Nicola, I am surprised thyey are not in your website, they are definately Classical Crossover, and in its fresher and more innovative side. I think they sound just great and the arrangements of rock songs are very, very nice. In this video, we can see Faryl and a canadian tenor as special guests, and I am really wowed by Faryl, she has a very spectacular and dramatic sound, I just love it... Her technique keeps gettin better and better. Michal
