Please ignore all details concerning Today's Birthdays in the Info Centre. There are currently eight names displayed, none of whom are members. I have checked the forum calendar and there seem to be hundreds of birthdays listed throughout the year. I don't yet know why this is happening but is seems to be some sort of Proboards software problem. There doesn't seem to be a similar problem on other forums so it may only affect those on Server 20. I will endeavour to find out and report back.

Apparently, this is a known bug which Proboards claim to have fixed. Unfortunately, it only appeared on our forum after it was fixed! I have made a further report and hope a cure will be found quickly!

Hi Roger, There have been reports of this on many other forums. The bogus birthdays were from the forum ahead of this one in the update queue. So many un-birthdays! Curiouser and curiouser!  It looks better now, Roger! Hopefully it's fixed.  Joe |

Hello Roger and Joe!  I've just looked at this month and the next two on the calendar, and I can still see hundreds of bogus birthdays, and a few genuine ones.  It's a leap year, so I blame Rossini. I bet an Italian girl in Algiers has hacked into the system, so I hope she gets a ladder in her silken stocking!  Richard |

Hi Richard!
I've looked on the calendar...I don't see any bogus birthdays. What were some of the dates that you noticed?
Maybe a call to the support forum will put the birthdays right.

Hello Joe! I looked at all the months from February to June, and there are hundreds of birthdays for each month. It may be that the fix hasn't reached me yet, so I'll look again tomorrow. I see I share my birthday with a Dalek and King Kong's service!  Richard |

Hi Roger, Richard and Joe,
All the bogus birthdays are still there for me. I've done a forced refresh (CTRL-F5) and used two different browsers - Firefox I hadn't used for the forum for a couple of days so there's no cache issue.
Here is the present list:

All seems well now and there are no other bogus birthdays appearing on the forum calendar. Although there is no reply to my report on the Support Forum, two other people have indicated a similar problem since ours was resolved. They are using Server Nos 91 and 100. This bug may be doing the rounds but, hopefully, we are now immune!
