Hi Steve, Grant and everyone, Your patience will be rewarded, Steve. This DVD is definitely a must-see; when I watch it, I can't help thinking Hayley made a great decision by joining Celtic Woman for their second concert. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Thanks for the capture, Roger ! Hayley was definitely into the song. She put a lot of herself in it; and it's marvellous for us to see that.

Yours PATIENTLY Steve H Hi Steve I seriously doubt that DVD4music WILL EVER have the CW DVD in stock. They have been making similar promises since mid February!! Please don't wait patiently. Re-order on EnterprisesDVD.com like Roger and I did, they have it in stock; it's cheaper (no postage) and delivery is quick. To cancel your order on DVD4music you have to Email them but it's quite easy and they DO respond quickly to Emails. THIS DVD IS TOO IMPORTANT FOR YOU NOT TO HAVE IT NOW!!Grant

Hi Steve You won't regret your decision! Your copy should arrive by the end of the week or Monday latest. Stephany, we don't know what's the matter with DVD4music. They either can't get stock or are waiting while they assess demand before ordering. Either way, they've lost several orders from this Forum!! Grant

They sure have, Grant. And they're not exactly getting good publicity from us either. Roger

I had also canceled my order from HMV. The status was blocked with the following indication : "on order with supplier". DVD4Music lost customers, but they are not alone....! (ok, it's also because they sent me a rap CD instead of my treasured "Treasure").

Hi Folks. I'm amazed at all this. I got my first copy from Amazon.com on the 9th Feb.07 plus the DeLuxe CD There are bundles of ten in various positions at HMV Grafton Street. Dublin. Manhattan, EMI and HMV are all associated as far as I know.
Even Tower Records have a fair number on display.
Maybe they are holding them back for St. Patrick's weekend.

Hello everybody! I visited HMV at 150 Oxford Street this morning, and found a new PAL version of the 'New Journey' DVD. The cover is virtually identical to the USA version, with the same tracklisting, except this one is made in the EU and has Catalogue No. 0946 3 83278 9 9. This version is priced at £19, while the USA NTSC version is still in stock at £16. I won't be buying the European version at the moment because I'm perfectly happy with both the picture and sound quality of my American DVD. My DVD player is set up to convert the signal from NTSC discs to PAL anyway, so I doubt if there would be any significant difference. Best Wishes, Richard

My DVD player is set up to convert the signal from NTSC discs to PAL anyway, so I doubt if there would be any significant difference. Best Wishes, Richard Hi Richard, Thanks for this very interesting information. As you know I am sometimes critical of what record companies sacrifice in technical quality, to save themselves some time and money. This time, I expect nothing different from their usual behaviour! You are probably right, for Europeans etc., there is unlikely to be any significant difference in quality between the NTSC and PAL version of this DVD (but I hope that one day, someone who has both will be able to confirm otherwise!). However, people with very old DVD players or TVs would be better off getting the PAL version as it might play better on their equipment. The likely reason for this is that the record company or video production company will have recorded the original footage in Dublin directly in NTSC. Or, if recorded in PAL, they will probably have transcoded it into NTSC before producing the final DVD (also in NTSC) and then transcoded the final DVD back from NTSC into PAL - for any European Countries that don't like to buy NTSC recordings. Either way, the quality of the PAL DVD would be no better than the NTSC DVD and it might be slightly inferior. The only way the PAL version can be better than the NTSC version is if the original master tapes from Dublin were recorded in PAL and the final PAL DVD was made directly from them, by-passing any NTSC transcoding. Given that the DVD was produced primarily for PBS and the US market, I think this is unlikely. However... this is speculation. Does anyone have any inside technical knowledge about this particular production (of the PAL DVD)? Cheers, Dave
