W@@w, nice pictures... Coromandel was not in our route, i know it was a must to go there...but maybe next time...and yes, i just played the video. I can imagine that it gave you a great feeling, to be on that beach. Greetz JOYCE.

Hi Thomas, I don;t often get around to posting to this particular thread but I am regularly looking at it. I am thoroughly enjoying the guided tour of New Zealand you are giving us. The pictures of Cathedral Cove looked so familiar that I could almost hear Hayley's voice as I looked at them. Right, where's my passport? Roger

Oh, how I wish! I seriously hope to visit New Zealand one day but I doubt if it can be in the foreseeable future. Roger Well, if you go, please allow me to carry your golf clubs. I will eat very little and will take up practically no space at all..... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Every picture that I see of NZ makes me want to visit that much more. The closest that I've been to NZ has been on "Google Earth", and even there I got lost! Beautiful photos, Thomas. Looking forward to seeing your others. Best, Gene.

Welcome to Cathedral Cove where Hayley filmed the video to her Signature Song!Still can't believe we were there. I watched the video quite often after we came back home. To be continued ... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas I think that I'll let Hayley know that we need to do another take of the video. I'll let you all know when, so you can all make your travel arrangements.......

Because it's such a nice place here are two more pictures from Cathedral Cove. If you like to cool down at the end of a hot day then Hahei Beach is a nice place. This beach is close to Cathedral Cove but not so crowded by tourists. A good place to check the Pacific Ocean. It's a funny thing in NZ that the Kiwis sometimes like to hide their sights. You often find a spot to visit on your road map but in the end you don't find a sign on the road itself which leads you to the sight. For example there are signs on the road to show you the way to Cathedral Cove but when you reach Hahei Beach about 1km before there are no signs anymore so that you have to ask a local to find Cathedral Cove. But with a little bit of guessing you can find almost everything. To be continued ... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

The next day we headed to Rotorua where you can explore geysers and bad smelling mud pools. There's a place called "Te Puia". Te Puia also has got another Maori name which you can see here. If you ever thought German would be a difficult language try this: i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifEverywhere where you can see bubbles or steam it smells absolutely disgusting but when being in NZ you have to see it. And smell it!! To be continued ... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

Our next destination was Napier. On the way we passed the Huka Falls. They are not very high but well known because of the high amount of water. A great spot for a little stop. Napier was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1931. At this time the Art Deco style was fashion and so Napier was rebuilt in Art Deco style what you still can see at many houses. Around Napier there's the Hawkes Bay wine region. We took the opportunity to drop into a winery to buy our wine directly there. The Kiwis sometimes like to hide the wineries like other sights. You often find a sign on the main road but when you turn into the small road which should lead you to the winery you can end up in the middle of nowhere. It took us many tries and half an hour to find one but it was worth it. Yum! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifTo be continued ... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

Hey Thomas, Thanks for sharing your wonderfull pictures. It is so funny to see, that pictures taken at New Zealand HIGLIGHT locations, most of the time look the same.My sister visited five years ago NZ, my parents several times('92,'97,'02,'04) my husband and me, beginning 2006. Most of the pictures we made, were exactly made from the same point. I recognize so many in your pictures, Punakaiki Rocks,Franz Josef and Fox glacier,HukaFalls and Roturoa. Next to come are from Lake Taupo????I guess??? I'm looking forward to your wonderfull pictures, Greetz JOYCE.
