There is no doubt in my mind that I will live to regret making this post but, in a mad moment of enthusiasm, I am prepared to take that risk. These are two shots of me in my better days! Who said they should be in the 'Funny Ha Ha and Funny Peculiar' thread? Roger

Great pictures Roger and Marianne. As I am at home right now, I am tempted to go through our family albums. But since my parents don't have a scanner, I would have to take the pictures with me and I don't think my mom would appreciate that. Marianne--a baby/ childhood thread would be interesting.

Is this worth a BABY/Childhood thread Love, Marianne Okay, if you like. If anyone else would like to post pictures of themselves when very young, please do so by starting a new thread. You never know, it might catch on! Roger

Katie Hi Katie, Might I suggest you just take your digital camera with you to your parents' place. Most small dig. cameras do a very good job of copying close up. A tripod helps as well if the light is not that wonderful. Not flash tho as it reflects back at you. Graeme

Hello Roger! You haven't really changed that much. Were you breaking the dress in for Hayley? Richard

Well, Roger So you're a cross-dresser! This is what I like about the Forum - you learn something new everyday! I was wondering how I was going to recognise you at Cadogan next month but now it will be easy. Will you be the one with the dress to compete with Hayley? Best Wshes Martin ps Don't worry - my mother put me in a similar dress at that age. I keep the photo under lock and key!

Roger was accused of being an early cross-dresser as he was wearing a dress in one picture (a common trait going back centuries before we UK 'oldies' on this site were born) and here is Marianne, looking singularly attractive in two stages of her life, and both pictures indicating she is in pants/trousers. Does this mean she was something of a tomboy? I detect a certain sense of mischief in the older face. Perhaps that's why she describes it as (I think) worldliwise? Tomboys tended to know 'what was what' a little ahead of their peers. Perhaps that's why I always went for them? Peter S.

Interesting the extent to which baby pictures have suddenly emerged. Is it something to do with our age group--another phase in life? I have been intending to rake through my family archives due to a succession of family deaths--one a year for each of the last three years--prior to scanning them for diverse family members to have their own copies from one original, before the originals get spread around family members due to inherit them.

Hi everyone, When I posted the pictures at the top of this page, I expected to be a one-off. I didn't realise I was starting a trend! Now that we have a specific thread for Baby and Childhood pics, please continue to post others HERE. Thanks, Roger
