I think you have a very good suggestion there Steve about a sub-thread in Photography, but how do we call it?
Surely its value would be the contradiction so they should interact. How about 'The Between Seasons'? Then we do a wonderful Hayley thing--contrasts and harmonies!

Here is a photograph for which I take no credit other than to give it the title... Bute-iful The reason for the title is that it was taken on the Isle of Bute (off the west coast of Scotland). I found it on a website belonging to Ian McCalman (that's him in the pic), of the long-established Scottish folk trio, The McCalmans. I used to know this group back in the 70s and attended a number of their gigs. The Interesting thing is that this panorama is made up of nine separate images of which the first and the last are the same. Therefore, if the picture were repeated, the view would be continuous forever! Here it is again: copyright © Ian McCalman Websites: Ian McCalmanThe McCalmansRoger

You clever birthday boy, you found a way round the image width limit! A very nice panorama it is, too! I hope we don't get too many though, the file sizes are... err, shall we say, large so I thought I'd better make my quoted copy tiny i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Then I decided i didn't need to quote it at all as your original is right above my post! again, from Dave

Looks like doggy heaven. Many happy returns Roger, these birthdays just keep coming round and round. Perhaps we can get the Angels to sing a special number for you on Monday.

Thanks, Drew. As long as the number they sing isn't 52, it would be most welcome! Roger

That is a superb post, Roger, Isle of Bute. I have tried the same thing a couple of times on my Welsh trip particulalry at the top of the Great Orme near Llandudno. I just have not yet had the time to put it all together (assuming it would work) and achieve. I really must get round to playing wirth these things and seeing what can be achieved. It is a tremendous effect.

What a lot of rot you are all talking about!!!! :2fun: I'm 63 in years but 19 in attitude--some of the time! Although the master frame here will tell you I'm65 due to the counter slipping as I pressed it and apparenty it can't be changed! Peter S.

I would like to apologise on behalf of ProBoards for the fact that their counter slipping tends to affect people of a certain age! Roger Excuses, excuses, excuses! However, I'm sure it's all my fault! How many times did I panic when I first started here, thinking I'd broken the site?!!! Peter S.

Hi Caite
Wow - I can't believe its snowing where you are ! Its still quite warm here in the uk (although wet as usual). We don't get much snow here now anyway - my daughter would love to be able to build a snowman !! By the way, seeing you and your sister together, you look quite alike. Great pictures as always.
Lots of love Mark
