Hi Peter,
I usually go on the Monday of the festival to watch the fireworks, my eldest son lives very close to Aldeborough, so I often go there in the evenings, it's a lovely place isn't it, , I live about 5 Miles away!
Have you ever been to Southwold?
Steve.

Hi Caite, Graeme, Steve and everybody else I forgot! I like your pictures of the birds! They are great! You have to be very patient and lucky to get shots like these. My favorite photo object is my landlord's dog. You don't have to be that patient with him. He usually doesn't move that quickly. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

Southwold! Yes, but not for a very long time. Our paths do cross a lot at different times!

Hi Belinda, Thanks SO much for sharing your photos with us- they're lovely! Are you a "home bird" like your parents' pigeon? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI was particularly impressed with the picture taken from the lounge window... WOW! what a spectacular view, where Lyttelton meets the sea. Surely inspiration for a song or for your easel and paints? Love & Hugs! Andrew

I took a few pictures round my parents garden I took a pic of my dad through a spider web, He was spraying the plants for bugs. These little Pansies have rather mean faces Belinda

Were either (or both) of you subconsciously aware, specifically aware, or had no prior knowledge at all in what you wrote? Did you know that one of Stephen Foster's most famous songs was inspired by a waitress in a café? He asked her for directions to somewhere and she replied, with the details, concluding with, 'where the mountains of Mourne come down to the sea. Peter

Hi Belinda, I loved the old tug & details from the link. Thankyou. That whole area fascinated me when I was in Christchurch & surrounds & I remember thinking to myself: That'd be a nice spot to live (across from Port Lyttelton) especially if you were sort of boaty (which I certainly am) This view looking South then must include your mum & dad's place: and this one is taken looking more to the west. A gorgeous area I thought & the large ship you see is the Diamond Princess. (about 105,000 GRT) More on this later, Graemek

Hello Belinda and Graeme! Many thanks to both of you for sharing those wonderful photographs. Recently I've been looking at some of the travel guides to New Zealand, and I think you two should get together to produce a new one. You'll have to include at least two photographs of Hayley, to keep ahead of the 'AA Key Guide' which only has one! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI've thought of a great name for the spider - Il Divo, because they've got eight legs too! Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Belinda and Graeme ! Thank you for the pictures!! I can't get enough of fotos showing the New Zealand landscape. That makes me even more excited about my trip Down Under in Feb./March next year. Hello again Belinda! Thanks for posting the link to the Lyttelton info. I was particularly interested to see the photograph of the Timeball Station, because there's one of those here in London, at Greenwich Royal Observatory. The ball drops at 1pm precisely every day. Best Wishes from London, at 8:45am precisely! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard Edit: The forum clock must be slow because I posted the message at 8:45 to the second!
